The founder of the agency, Irina Maksimova, has been working in individual tourism since 2009. She has orchestrated over 1,000 charter weeks and guided more than 9,000 clients on their voyages. Her journey has been filled with unique experiences, from navigating through freezing rain during the eruption of an Icelandic volcano to managing flight cancellations and the challenges of the Covid era. She even helped a client transform a 2019 yacht reservation into a 2023 vacation. Her resilience in the face of such challenges is a testament to her ability to handle unexpected situations.
She speaks English, Italian, French, studied Hindi, and as a student, she fell in love with Ancient Greek and Latin and was one of the best students in the course. Irina is a fan of quality pistachio ice cream and has been to different countries, from Jamaica in the West to South Korea in the East. She dreams of visiting Angkor Wat, Latin America, and getting to know Asia better. She is based in Calabria, between Rome and Naples and the beautiful Aeolian Islands, famous for the erupting Stromboli volcano. Irrespective of her diverse interests, Irina is deeply committed to an eco-friendly approach and biohacking.
She envisions Oh! My Yachting as a sponsor for initiatives aimed at cleaning waters and the ocean, a testament to our agency's dedication to sustainable practices.
The second crew member is Svetlana Grekova. She has been in customer service since 2000 and has experience working for companies such as Johnson&Johnson and Kimberly-Clark. She met Irina in 2016 at a yacht school where Svetlana came to study. Traveling around Europe and America has become an essential part of her life, and her wish list includes South Africa, Argentina, the Caribbean, and Japan. She enjoys live music, pilates, and good coffee in her free time. Svetlana is active and participates in numerous regattas, which allows her to combine her love for the sea with the excitement of competition. She speaks English fluently and is studying German and French. To the delight of recruiters, she knows the answer to who she sees herself as in 5 years. This is her, her beloved man, joint photos from yacht trips, a Scottish setter, and a house with a view of the mountains. Svetlana now lives in Tbilisi and often visits Europe.
