Did you know that 𝗽𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲, in the district of Vicenza, for more than 300 years?
The reasons behind the development of this activity are many: the presence of raw materials, political interests, and above all the presence of the 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮 𝗥𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿.

This waterway was crucial to the development of production and the reasons are various: it was the fastest way to transport logs, which were used to feed the furnaces where 𝗽𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮 were fired. These had to run for several days at about 1000°C.

Two important mills were built on its banks, for the preparation of ceramic mixtures, which became a place of production and training for many local artisans and artists.

Last but not least, stones were collected from its bed, which were then turned into calcium carbonate, silica and quartz: fundamental materials for the mixtures.

Nove has therefore been named 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗰𝘀.

Every year in September the 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗮 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗰𝗮 - 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗶 𝗔𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶 takes place, a local feast that welcomes visitors from all over Europe.

Among the ceramic artists who have given prestige to Nove and contributed to contemporary artistic production we can mention Alessio Tasca, Federico Bonaldi, up to the present day with , a true craftsman, who in his studio, models and gives life to living and vibrant works of art.

𝑨 𝒄𝒖𝒍𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒂𝒍 𝒔𝒑𝒂𝒄𝒆, a sensory experience, a journey through art: it is difficult to explain this 8500-square-meter exhibition space in a single word. It’s a space that 𝒉𝒐𝒔𝒕s 𝒕emporary 𝒆𝒙𝒉𝒊𝒃𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔, 𝒅𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒈𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒂𝒓𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒕𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒋𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒔, all reverting around 𝒎𝒐𝒔𝒂𝒊𝒄.

“Resistere” is the culmination of a year of book presentations. Meetings with authors accompany the bookstore’s activities from September to June, and “Resistere” represents the completion of this effort, held in some of the most beautiful places of Bassano del Grappa, such as the Ezzelini Castle and Palazzo Roberti Bookstore.
