Lucca di veste di fiori per la celebrazione della festa di Santa Zita, devota lucchese del XIII secolo.

“La Santa, nata nel 1218 da una famiglia contadina di Monsagrati, lavorava come domestica presso la ricca famiglia lucchese dei Fatinelli.

🌷Era conosciuta come persona molto umile e generosa verso i poveri, tanto che, un giorno, il padrone, incontrando Zita con un grembiule gonfio di alimenti da distribuire in ca**tà, le chiese severamente che cosa portasse.
Zita rispose: "Fiori e fronde" e miracolosamente, disciolto il grembiule, davvero sarebbero caduti fiori e fronde.” 💐

Lucca dressed in flowers for the celebration of the feast of Santa Zita, a devout Lucchese of the thirteenth century.

🌷”The Saint, born in 1218 from a peasant family from Monsagrati, worked as a maid for the rich Fatinelli family from Lucca. She was known as a very humble and generous person towards the poor, so much so that, one day, the master, meeting Zita with an apron full of food to be distributed in charity, sternly asked her what she was bringing. Zita replied: "Flowers and fronds" and miraculously, once the apron had been dissolved, the flowers and fronds would really have fallen.”💐
