ALL IN THE FAMILY.
One of the most delightful outcomes of these pandemic months/years is that I have applied my skills/talents to a variety of fruitful projects to keep myself busy and earn wages—initially it was just to pay the bills!
Fortunately, they are all PASSION PROJECTS.

I’ve talked a bit about one of those special projects: our portable pizza oven - the collaborative project with A Man From Chianti. This “roving” pizza oven we call Chianti Moveable Pizza and our amazing team (including my decades-long colleague chef Andrea and his beautiful son, Luca) rocks out beautiful thin-crust pizzas made with ancient grain flour throughout the Tuscan countryside. Wineries like the lovely Querceto di Castellina, private villas and other foodie venues are digging this lovely moveable pizza party. All ingredients are super fresh (in season, of course!).

Meanwhile my 18-year old son, Mattia has recently gained other experiences in the hospitality/tourism world and I am proudly including him in my work teams these days...he’s also a trained/studied musician and currently studying philosophy at the University of Florence. (Yes, very proud mamma).
A true gem–this little (big) man, Mattia!

PS Just so you know, we haven't given up on other feastly projects like the TOURS! Carol’s Moveable Feast is still going strong and 2022 is going to be a winner!

Today, on the 25th of April, Italy celebrates Liberation Day.
This is the commemoration of a historically important moment in Italian history, meaning the liberation from oppressive regimes.

Tomorrow, we are also liberating ourselves of some of the pandemic restrictions that have been in vigor for the last months.

Two very different liberation moments.
Yet, both to celebrate.

Your thoughts?

Dreams Come True.

With a strong Italian heritage and a background in travel and tourism, moving to Bologna, Italy in 2000 and then to Tuscany in 2010 was a dream come true. I hadn’t realized that another dream was just around the corner - establishing my own personal venture, Carol’s Moveable Feast.

I create authentic Italian travel experiences which give you the opportunity to breathe-in the landscapes, architecture, art, food, wine and people of this indescribably beautiful country. My background includes leading trips from Northern, to Central and Southern Italy, including the Dolomites, Liguria, Emilia Romagna, Piedmont, Puglia and Tuscany. This includes sourcing local foods and wines, so I am honored to have built wonderful relationships with some of the country’s finest producers, many who work exclusively with me.

Most tours include some light activity, mostly walking, cycling or yoga. Plus there is always time for poolside massages, preparing leisurely meals together and going for lazy strolls.

Few people are lucky enough to love their work as much as I do. When it comes to Italy, there is so much to discover; so many beautiful paths to walk; so much to share. If you would like me to arrange your perfect Italian adventure, please do get in touch.
