🇮🇹 Langhe, Roero e Monferrato sono un territorio collinare nel Basso Piemonte.
Il principale centro delle Langhe è Alba, “Città delle 100 Torri”, è posizionata lungo le rive del Fiume Tanaro tra le colline della Bassa Langa ed il Roero, è conosciuta e rinomata nel Mondo per i grandi vini e per il Tartufo Bianco d'Alba. Eccellenza del territorio promossa a livello globale grazie alla Fiera Internazinale del Tartufo Bianco d'Alba.
Grazie alla bellissime colline tappezzate di vigneti, in Bassa Langa vengono prodotti diversi pregiati vini, tra questi il Barolo DOCG ed il Barbaresco DOCG. La produzione del Barolo si estende sui territori di 11 comuni tra i quali i pricipali centri eno-turistici della zona, ovvero: Barolo, Monforte d'Alba, Grinzane Cavour, Serralunga, La Morra, Cherasco e Castiglione Falletto; sono invece 3 i comuni del Barbaresco: Barbaresco, Neive e Treiso.
L'Alta Langa si estende dai piedi delle Alpi Liguri al sud astigiano e fa da confine con la Liguria, presenta un territorio naturalistico più vario, dove ai vigneti per la produzione del Moscato d'Asti DOCG, ed in epoca recente all'Alta Langa DOCG, si alternano boschi e noccioleti della rinomata Nocciola Piemonte IGP “Tonda Gentile Trilobata”. Sulle colline con altitudine più elevata, invece, i vigneti lasciano il posto a campi e pascoli ed è grazie all'allevamento di ovini e caprini che vengono prodotti eccellenti formaggi come la Robiola di Roccaverano DOP.
A livello turistico è il territorio ideale per gli amanti del cicloturismo, del nordic walking e di altre attività outdoor.
Sempre in Provincia di Cuneo, a nord delle Langhe, al confine con le province di Torino ed Asti troviamo il Roero. Il territorio è collinare e caratterizzato da forre e calanchi, ben visibili soprattutto presso l'Ecomuseo delle Rocche. La zona è molto rinomata per i tartufi, per i vini e per diverse le varietà di frutti tra cui pere, albicocche e fragole.
Bra oltre ad essere il centro principale del Roero, è un importante centro culturale per l'enogastronomia. Nel 1986 Carlo Petrini fondò il movimento culturale Slow Food ed oggi, presso la frazione di Pollenzo, ha sede l'Università degli Studi di Scienze Gastronomiche.
Il territorio del Monferrato, anch'esso principalmente collinare, si estende su tutta la Provincia di Asti e su parte della Provincia di Alessandria.
Il Monferrato Astigiano è rinomato per il tartufo e per i vini, in modo particolare per la Barbera d'Asti, il Moscato d'Asti ed il Ruchè, un vitigno autoctono locale. La città di Asti è il capoluogo dell'omonima provincia, è un'antica città di storia e cultura, rinomato centro per il turismo enogastronomico: dai vini alla bagna cauda, dal Festival delle Sagre e Douja d'Or al Palio. Altri importanti centri dell'astigiano sono Canelli la "Capitale dello Spumante", Nizza Monferrato, Costigliole d'Asti e Moncalvo, la più "piccola città d'Italia".
Nel nord della provincia di Alessandria si estende il Basso Monferrato, il cui paesaggio è caratterizzato da dolci colline coltivate a vigneti e campi sulle quali sono presenti piccoli ed antichissimi borghi e castelli. Casale Monferrato, secondo comune più popolato della privincia, fù capitale dell'antico Marchesato del Monferrato. É il territorio ideale per il cicloturismo, il turismo equestre ed il turismo enogastronomico.
Nel sud alessandrino invece, al confine con l'Appennino Ligure ed alla Provincia di Genova, si estende l'Alto Monferrato. Rinomato per i vini, per gli antichi borghi e i castelli, l'Alto Monferrato presenta però un territorio più impervio ed una cultura che risente dell'influenza ligure. I centri pripali sono: Acqui Terme, antica località termale di origine romana; Novi Ligure; Gavi ed Ovada. A livello turistico è un territorio ideale per la cerca del tartufo, per il cicloturismo e per il turismo equestre.
La vocazione agricola, ben radicata nella cultura e nelle tradizioni locali, è incentrata principalmente sulla coltivazione della vite che ha portato nel tempo a modellare le colline rendendole un territorio unico e incantevole, tanto che nel 2014 il “Paesaggio vitivinicoli del Piemonte: Langhe-Roero e Monferrato” è stato riconosciuto Patrimonio dell’Umanità dall’UNESCO.
Il sito si compone di cinque aree: La Langa del Barolo, Il Castello di Grinzane Cavour, Le Colline del Barbaresco, Nizza Monferrato e il Barbera, Canelli e l’Asti Spumante ed Il Monferrato degli Infernòt.
Oltre ai suggestivi paesaggi, è stata riconosciuta dall'UNESCO anche la bellezza dei castelli e delle torri, che dall'alto dominano gli antichi e caratteristici borghi.

The main center of the Langhe is Alba, “Città delle 100 Torri”, is located along the banks of the Tanaro River between the hills of the Lower Langa and Roero, it is known and renowned throughout the world for its great wines and for the Alba White Truffle. Territory excellence promoted globally thanks to the International Alba White Truffle Fair.
Thanks to the beautiful hills covered by vineyards, various fine wines are produced in the Lower Langa, including Barolo DOCG and Barbaresco DOCG. The production of Barolo extends over the territories of 11 municipalities including the main wine-tourism centers in the area, namely: Barolo, Monforte d'Alba, Grinzane Cavour, Serralunga, La Morra, Cherasco and Castiglione Falletto; instead there are 3 municipalities where Barbaresco wine is produced:Barbaresco, Neive and Treiso.
The High Langhe extends from the slopes of the Ligurian Alps to the south of Asti and, at the same time isthe border with the Liguria, has a more varied naturalistic territory, here we findthe vineyards for the production of the Moscato d'Asti DOCG, and in recent times to the Alta Langa DOCG, woods and hazel groves of the renowned Piedmont IGP “Tonda Gentile Trilobata” hazelnut alternate. On the hills with an higher altitude, on the other hand, the vineyards give way to fields and pastures and it is thanks to the breeding of sheep and goats that excellent cheeses are produced such as Robiola di Roccaverano DOP.
At the tourist level, it is the ideal territory for cycling lovers, nordic walking, equestrian tourism and other outdoor activities.
Still in the Province of Cuneo, located in the north of Langhe territory,on the border with the provinces of Turin and Asti, we find the Roero. The territory is hilly and characterized by ravines and gullies, clearly visible mostly at the Ecomuseo delle Rocche. The area is very famous for truffles, for wines and for various varieties of fruit including pears, apricots and strawberries.
Bra, besides being the main center of the Roero, is an important cultural center for food & wine. In 1986 Carlo Petrini founded the Slow Food cultural movement and today, at the village of Pollenzo, the University of Gastronomic Sciences is based.
The territory of the Montferrat, also mainly hilly, extends over the entire Province of Asti and part of the Province of Alessandria.
Astesan Montferrat is renowned for its truffles and wines, especially Barbera d'Asti, Moscato d'Asti and Ruchè, a local native vine. The city of Asti is the capital of the homonymous province, is an ancient city of history and culture, a renowned center for food & wine tourism: from wines to bagna cauda, from Festival delle Sagre and Douja d'Or to the Palio. Other important towns in the Astesan land are Canelli, the "Capital of the Sparkling Wine", Nizza Monferrato, Costigliole d'Asti and Moncalvo, the "smallest city in Italy".
In the north of the province of Alessandria lies the Low Montferrat, whose landscape is characterized by rolling hills planted with vineyards and fields on which there are small and ancient villages and castles. Casale Monferrato, the second most populated municipality of the province, was the capital of the ancient Marquisate of Monferrato. It is the ideal area for cycle tourism, equestrian tourism and food & wine tourism.
In the south of the province of Alessandria, on the border with the Ligurian Apennines and the Province of Genoa, lies the High Montferrat. Renowned for its wines, its ancient villages and castles, the High Montferrat has a more impervious territory and a culture that is influenced by Ligurian influence. The main centers are: Acqui Terme, an ancient spa town of Roman origin; Novi Ligure; Gavi and Ovada. At the tourist level it is an ideal territory for truffle hunting, for cycling tourism and for equestrian tourism.
The agricultural vocation, well rooted in local culture and traditions, is mainly focused on the cultivation of the vine that over time has led to shaping the hills making them a unique and enchanting territory, so much so that in 2014 the "Vineyard landscape of Piedmont: Langhe-Roero and Monferrato" has been recognized World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
The site consists of five areas: La Langa del Barolo, The Castle of Grinzane Cavour, The Hills of Barbaresco, Nizza Monferrato and Barbera, Canelli and Asti Spumante and Il Monferrato of the Infernòt.
In addition to the evocative landscapes, the beauty of the castles and towers, which dominate the ancient and characteristic villages from above, has also been recognized by UNESCO.
