The Adventures are facilitated by Mandy Young, EcoPsychologist, who has thirty years of counseling experience with people of all ages towards better relationships and emotional intelligence, and over twenty years of conservation and research experience with tribal people - the Naro Bushmen and the Maasai and with animals with social behavior: endangered African Wild Dogs, White Lions, Mountain Gorillas, wise Elephants, wild Meerkats and Dolphins. Mandy uses her privileged knowledge and experience to facilitate light-hearted daily self-reflective discussion groups after wildlife or tribal encounters to help participants gain personal and professional enlightening, take-home, transformative insights.

Morning, what are the ways you most like to gain understandings and inspirations?

Do you believe that can happen walking on the beach, wandering through the woods, sitting around a campfire watching the flames flicker?

On a recent online Fireside Conversation we considered what we could learn from eagles?

This was the response of one of the participants afterwards:

It’s a very interesting perspective in terms of therapy. I was surprised by the practical way Mandy operates, since the concept of the healing power of nature sounds very abstract. All in all, it was a very fascinating experience that can change someone’s mindset or view on life.

During an amazing Fireside Conversation as we were observing wild meerkat behavior this is what Illona Coetzee had to say:

Mandy is a unique woman with interesting knowledge to share. I’m excited to see where her experience and knowledge will take me and how I can interpret that into my life.

Does your Organization or Team focus primarily on Goals, People, or Process?

On our recent online Fireside Conversation where participants gain personal and professional life-changing insights from observing wild animal interactions or by listening in to the wisdom of indigenous people, the members of a wild dog pack were our mentors. They are great at being team and the way in which they relate launched an interesting discussion.

Click the image below to find out what they inspired:

Kate Griffiths was one of the participants with some great thoughts and ideas. Her final comment was:

"The wild dogs’ sensitivity in their faces and ears is something I hope I always remember as it touched something deep inside me. We are so connected to all life on earth".

Brain wave research measured by EEG and biofeedback technology released in 2021 shows that dolphin-human interactions can enhance physical healing, stimulate immune systems, reduce phobias, get rid of addictions, release childhood trauma to be resolved and a new life script written, bring spiritual enlightenment and inspire participants to transform their lives with new clarity and courage.

However, not everyone can swim with dolphins, so I am inviting you to participate in a free, online Dolphin Dreamtime Meditation and to find out the response of 4 cancer patients who participated in this healing Meditation several years ago.

FIRESIDE CONVERSATION ONLINE TONIGHT AT 5PM UK TIME
MASAI WISDOM for BUSINESS RESILIENCE

I would like to invite you to the bi-monthly free online Fireside Conversation where you can gain personal and professional understandings from observing wild animal interactions and learn from the wisdom of indigenous people who still know how to live in an interdependent way with their environment and wild places.

I am an Ecopshcologist, primarily trained as a Psychotherapist many decades ago, who has spent over a quarter of a century observing wild animals, walking and talking with the Masai and the Bushmen, and swimming with free, ocean-moving dolphins
www. https://lnkd.in/dkEMamPf

The Fireside Conversation tonight is Masai Wisdom for Business Resilience:

While many Maasai practices appear outdated and barbaric to western sensibilities, they have been borne over hundreds of years by the need to instill the discipline, strength, and unity required to survive in the bush

Hope to see you online later at 5 pm UK time, click on the link below to access the zoom link, and please send me your email address on a personal note or to [email protected] if you would like to get future invites. I think in two weeks' time the focus will be on the dolphins or the wild dogs.

From KAWFT - Kariba.

"Zim parks got a report of an elephant with a snare and reported it to Kariba Animal Welfare Trust Fund (KAWFT). I got asked to go out and confirm the sighting and get some pictures. It is a young elephant calf with a bad snare. The snare is less than 5 days old and restricting its blood flow and mobility. We have requested urgent permission from national parks to dart it so that we can save its leg. It is with a resident herd that we know but is very aggressive so we are expecting to have to dart the baby and the mom and possibly the nanny as well. It is a small herd of 4 that has joined up with a few other groups so they are moving in a group of about 50+ animals. We are hoping that we can get a helicopter for safety in but even if we can't we will assess and do our best to dart it on the ground. We will be needing a large team and we are trying to get three vets up to do the procedure and monitor the animals that we have to dart. It is an extremely dangerous operation for all those involved and very time sensitive for the poor calf so we are trying to raise funds as quickly as possible. If you can help at all or want any more information please do not hesitate to contact me on +263 4 7722 080 102 - Montana KAWFT

[19/09, 19:46] Wv T Caron: Baby ele with snare. Please send to anyone you think will be able to donate. We are expecting a huge bill regardless if we can get the chopper or not. We are expecting to dart 2 or possibly 3 elephants depending on how aggressive the nanny is and we will have to have 3 vets on stand by because of the size of the herd it is with and the likely hood of having to dart 3 animals. We are desperately trying to raise funds as we will dart the elephant as soon as we have the resources and permission. The swelling is from less than 5 days and we believe that it may have swallowed the trailing end of the snare.
