Look how cool this is that I just randomly came across this photo and upon doing a quick calculation realized that exactly right now is the 83rd month/ the originally projected finishing time for Rome’s 3rd metro line. They are actually getting pretty close, so will be curious to see when it will finally get unveiled.

We’re all fine here in Rome. Just following all the protocols, trying to ride the lockdown through until work can hopefully pick up again soon.

I just updated my website! Check it out: https://romedaytours.com

Coming to Rome you can even enjoy some Italian Soccer (calciò). Here is Rome scoring it’s first goal of a 4-1 win against one of Verona’s two teams.

Here's an interesting article mentioning me personally from way back on May 31st in English about the Colosseum. http://www.wantedinrome.com/news/concern-over-lack-of-security-at-colosseum.html

American tour guide exposes terrorism risk at Colosseum. A video published by Italian newspaper La Repubblica on 31 May reveals a major flaw in the security system in place at the Colosseum. The flaw involves an internal barrier, in the section for visitors without reservations, through which object...

Another major highlight over these past few months have been the various earthquakes such as a 5.4 and then another 6.3 in central Italy on October 26th that we even felt here in Rome with happily at least little to no noticeable damage here. Sad but at least the one on August 24th made news unfortunately almost even more because of how it was almost surely more devastating because of “Construction 'on the cheap'”, especially after “A quake in the region seven years ago… alerted authorities to the need for earthquake-resistant construction”… http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/world/2016/08/28/pope-francis-pledges-visit-quake-devastation/89506686/

Some awesome music during a typical tour of the Historical Center in the Church of San Luigi dei Francesi here in Rome during a special music festival as one of hundreds of fun things often available in the city.

There's always lots of fun things going on in Rome, such as this group on the Capitoline Hill working their skills in the evening within Michelangelo's famous geometric design.

Every so often in Rome you catch amazing glimpses of birds frolicking right around ancient ruins such as these trees directly up from the original Forum of Augustus.

A happy change just since November is after about a full year and a half behind scaffolding, the Trevi Fountain is finally back, looking amazing!

Even just yesterday on Good Friday that's traditionally been one of the busiest days in the Vatican Museums, me and the small family I was with were literally in entire sections numerous times with just a few other people! Maybe it's just good timing and planning, but we also literally walked straight through the Holy Doors with NO wait at all.

Even the Holy Door at St. Peter's Basilica has often even been almost totally abandoned as well, with few exceptions such as the day it opened (December 8th) and also after a special Saturday March 12th audience with the Pope.

Plenty of times though I've been with people in places like the Forum, we look around and we're like: "Wow. It's just us..."

There's starting to be many more sightings of these super cute Parrots? cute green birds throughout Rome. These right here on the Esquiline Hill just up the street from the Colosseum.

Rome's new metro line C looks great. Can't wait till the other sections also get finished.

That's the old travel maxim I followed when trying to decide what to see and do during a day in Rome -- my first visit to the Eternal City. With Rome embellished with a multiple-millennia array of art, antiquities and architecture unmatched by any other city in the world, its roster of must-sees is…

Here's a fun video of the Happy Hanukkah (Felice Chanucca) festivities celebrated prominently here in Rome right in the midst of Piazza Barberini that we celebrated with some of our Jewish friends from its 6th day in 2011 that happened to fall right on Christmas. Note the unusual manner in which the candles were re-lit due to the extreme wind.

Rome is always full of special events centered at the Colosseum such as Santa's Biking at the Colosseum just this past Sunday.

Here's a neat comparison shot of St. Francis from one of the many religious shops here in Rome with 5 posts back.
