Small beautiful details from Pergine Valdarno - the way a vintage curtain illuminates as the sun rises, lighting up our hilltop town. We love these authentic touches, like decor that has lasted decades.

Our historic village is full of stories - some from thousands of years ago, and some from the last hundred years.
This beautiful house sits in the heart of our town square and during the Second World War, you can see where an American soldier wrote his name, signed ‘I was here’. Because of its strategical position, the village was at one time occupied by the German army, and as the soldiers passed through here during the liberation they stayed for a few days, of which their marks can still be seen.

Ciao from Pergine Valdarno!
Haven’t discovered our Tuscan village yet? You can find us high in the hills, with a tiny population of just 500 residents.
Our village has plenty of stories to tell: houses here are over a thousand years old, and local traditions still hold strong, making us a tight knit community.
If you want a slow week away, enjoying the simple life, come and stay with us. Mornings at the bakery, walks down to the water fountain and aperitivo at dusk when the starlings fill the sky. We’d love to share out story with you.

Summer availability! Sharing some of our favourite Tuscan properties with last-minute availability for late summer bookings.
Villa Marina is a very special place. This old farmhouse is named after our mother Marina, since our parents bought it back in 1992. Until then, they’d lived in a small apartment but totally fell in love with this rural beauty, and started a family here. Our founder Irene grew up with her siblings, cats, dogs and horses, and later lodgers and travellers. It’s filled with family heirlooms and generational antiques and it makes us so happy to see other families and friends enjoying the space. You can book for up to 10 people across the whole of September.
For couples, our ancient converted donkey barn is snug enough for two, with outside seating on our village square, as well as a hot tub! La Miccia is still free last week of August.
We’re not supposed to have favourites, but Mulino Morandi is an ancient water mill, built in the year 1,000 - and with this much history and charm, how could we resist? Inside, you’ll find it has been recently refurbished with our most stylish decor yet. We have select dates in August, and a few weeks in September still free.

Supplier Spotlight: if you didn’t know, our Tuscan family home, Villa Marina, is a dream setting to host intimate weddings.
Last year, we had the total pleasure of working with Canadian photographer Rebeka of .photography, an elopement photographer who shoots in both film and digital, to capture a special celebration as another wonderful elopement photographer, Megan of tied the knot with her partner in our romantic gardens and at local vineyard, .
You can see some of Rebeka’s work here and she’s a great person to get in touch with if thinking of getting married, Italian style!

Stay with us! Il Pigionale has a fascinating story as the former hostel of our medieval village. Today, it’s a charming, two-bedroom home set within a stone tower, brimming with original features. But, hundreds of years ago, you can only imagine the travellers who stayed within its walls while passing through the village. If you love history, this is the perfect place for you. Walk the original staircase, shower within the nook of the historic tower and enjoy the terrace where you can look over the town square where locals go about their daily business.
