Our four Professional Crew, including Italian Captain/Chef Francesco, Australian Captain/Hostess Melissa, 'Magic' Marlowe & Arfel our Stewards, will take care of your every need. Here we are on the overnight Ferry (Venice - Greece) with our Italian Sailor friends. Behind my head is our mentor Captain (& legendary round the world sailor Antonio Penati)… Francesco was on board Antonio’s yacht ‘Lycia’ when we met each other for the first time in Fiji, back in 2003. Since then, Antonio came to our wedding in 2005, assisted us with the transfer of our brand new Ombre Blu in 2007 from Bordeaux to the Mediterranean Sea, released a cookbook called ‘Skipper & Chef’, featuring Ombre Blu in 2011, and in 2018 printed his Autobiography called ‘The construction of a dream’, which also mentions that famous day Francesco & Melissa met!

Dear Team,
I'm a German Skipper of a Cyclades 50.5. Monohull.
May I leave a short message to especially thank the crew of Ombre Blu3 for their kindness!
On October 13th we met them in Greece in Aegina city port and granted them our berth because it was the only one left over for their width instead of mooring there ourselves because we had been first inside the port.
So we were waiting in the port basin for them to moore and when they were fixed, we asked them to organize 5 coffee Frappé from a shop across the street and they handed them over from their bow to our stern, so we could enjoy our coffees while continuing sailing to another place.
As I can see here on your webpage, it seems like their names were Melissa and Francesco.
It would be very nice if you could forward my special thanks to them.
This was real good seamanship, as it is, or at least should be all over the world. A perfect role model for happy human cohabitation ;-)

Customized itineraries, local knowledge, distinct hospitality, flavors of refined cuisine, paired with fine wines from all over Italy. A wellness massage service & the unique emotions of diving with private PADI instructor on board (courses at all levels are available).

Our yacht is managed by Italian Captain/Chef - Francesco Candiani and his Australian wife Melissa, Co-Captain/Host. To ensure that every small detail is attended to, we are assisted by Marlowe, who has over 20 years of experience on luxury yachts around the world.

Over 500 guests from 23 different countries have enjoyed our Italian experiences, which are perfect for families, couples or groups of friends.
