We love to get foreign travelers off the beaten path, into "Undiscovered Italy"! That was the theme of our guided walking tour of Emilia-Romagna with ! From the grand cities of Bologna, Modena and Ravenna, to the delightful towns of Brisighella, Castrocaro and Cesenatico, over the gentle hills and green valleys beneath the Apennines to the Po River delta, discovering the secrets of its legendary food and drink. It was a trip of a lifetime for this group, as they picked olives, hunted for truffles, learned the secrets of "ragù" bolognese, and walked their way through our dear corner of Italy.

2023 end of season party - a great feeling to celebrate together after a successful season! As we do every year, our Faenza office team and European tour leaders came together, this time in the marvelous city of Ravenna, for a weekend of work as we prepare for 2024, as well as plenty of well-deserved fun!

Our last tour group in the Veneto this year ends their trip with great success, in Venice! After cycling through quiet countryside and vineyards, visiting charming art cities, our Pedaling Lake Garda and the Veneto trip ends with a bang with a guided visit of "La Serenissima".

On May 16 and 17, historic rains -- 20 inches in 36 hours -- caused massive and destructive flooding throughout Emilia's Romagna's Ravenna, Forli and Cesena provinces and the town of Faenza, where we are based in Italy.

Thousands of people have been displaced as their homes were destroyed and hundreds of thousands of acres of fields were flooded. The lives of three of our staff were dramatically affected by the flooding as was La Vecchia Faenza, a local ceramics workshop that we have visited on tours for almost 40 years.

What a great feeling to know we've helped dreams come true! This intrepid group of 17 friends just finished a 10 day itinerary we created and managed to suit their vision, traversing famous high-mountain passes while taking in the glorious scenery of the Dolomites and the Italian Alps (with perfect weather to boot). A proper bike fitting makes all the difference on a multiday bike tour. We should know... we've been organizing bike tours since 1972! Our touring season starts this week so our team of deliverers brushed up their skills with our professional mechanics, on our annual Spring training course (meanwhile enjoying the fine spring weather that just arrived to Italy).
