Walking - A Way of Discovering started as an individual and personal blog for Adoni Mosquera's walking adventures. Now, It is a regular community event to explore and discover Jersey's unique paths and trails. Walkers meet up every Sunday to share stories, to learn about history or just simply to enjoy the fantastic outdoor jersey has to offer.

A private cremation has been organised for David Ezekiel on March 12. However, for all of us friends there would be a celebration of his life on March 21 at 16:30 onwards at No 10 Bond Street. It was a place that David liked and allows dogs. Hope many of you can join ❤️❤️

On the 16 February, we lost one of the most generous and remarkable friends from our walking community. David Ezekiel had been following our routes for more than 7 years. He enjoyed the Sunday walks as he loved exercising and could bring his pet companion “skittles”, a dog which never left his side and adored him. He will be hugely missed. Thanks David “from out there in the rainbows” for the very wonderful moments you lived with us.

Scotland & England Jersey week of walking agenda 4-10 Sep.

All walks meet point out the front to the side of the Liberation bus station next to Liberty Wharf Shopping Centre.

14 walkers confirmed so number limited to 5 for each walk as we need to catch buses and make sure we all get on.

Tuesday 5 Sep Meeting at 10.10am Plemont to St.Quens 8 miles.

Thursday 7 Sep Meeting at 10.0am -3pm St.Brelade, National Park, St.Aubin then to St.Helier. 6 miles.

Friday 8 Sep Meeting at 10.10am 3.30pmSt.Helier to Rosel Beach then Jersey Zoo. 7 miles.

Sat 9 Sep Meeting at 10.10am-3pm Gorey Castle, Queens Valley Reserve to St.Helier then dinner/drinks 6.30pm White Horse beer garden. 6 miles.

Jersey Walkers please WhatApp Norlyne on 07500899510 with name and walk choice(s) so she can confirm you a spot. All walk OW back to St.Helier.

Time: 10.30

Distance: approx 4.5 miles

Meeting point: St Clement Golf & Sports Centre, La Blinerie entrance

Bus routes: 1, 1A, 2, and 16 will get you there.

Irene jumping in for Adoni while she recovers from Jetlag... but fear not I have a guidebook to hand this time! We shall meander through quiet country lanes past a Victorian folly, a mill, a Neolithic passage grave, and a witches' rock.

Weather: Forecast currently says cloudy with sunny intervals and isolated showers... After the mad weather yesterday let's be prepared just in case.

Good morning walkers. I thought I would come back this weekend but after such a long trip and work commitments, it has been really difficult to recover from my jet lagged- so I am listening to my body who is screaming for some well deserved rest and going to cancel tomorrow’s walk. I know it is 2 weeks now without walking, but hopefully next week I’ll be refreshed and ready to start again. Thank you all for understanding ❤️
