JCT - Jamaican Culture Trip

Jamaican Culture Trip
2 weeks immersion in the Jamaican Lifestyle with Dance Workshops and Nightlife Adventure, specially designed for dance teachers outside of Jamaica. This Cultural Excursion will provide hands on experience and a better understanding of the practices, activities, expressions of the Jamaican people. The Program involves:
1. A theoretical overview of the different aspects of the

Dancehall Culture. It will be an interactive meeting allowing participants to ask questions

2. Practical Dance sessions in:
- Jamaican Traditional Folk Forms
- Old Time Dances
- Dancehall Queen Style highlight the Female Dance Vocabulary
- Old, Middle and New School Danchall Overview

3. Nightlife Excursion, providing a real taste of Jamaica's Dancehall Party Scene. Participants will attend weekly events

4. Outdoor Daytime Entertainment will take place on Sundays at the Beach and River.
