I had some friends visiting from Trinidad and we had a great time.
They had 5 days and we tried to fit in as much as we could.
Here are the places we visited:

- Fort Charlotte
- Negril
- Rick's Cafe
- Secret Cove
- Calypso River Rafting
- Old Spanish Bridge

As you can see, we covered as much as we could!

Took part in Two 5k runs over 2 Weekends!
First I did the MoBay Night Run and it was a great event held in the night.
It was a big event and caused major traffic.
The next weekend I did the Mobay City Run.
This event took place early in the morning and when from Old Hospital to MegaMart Light and back.

Tesla Montego Bay to Kingston drive and back! Had an event to attend and drove the Tesla to Kingston and back for a total of 366km. To avoid range anxiety, we charged in Kingston at the AC Hotel before heading back. we actually did not need to the charge as we had enough and got back with extra.

We attended the Indian High Commission' s Holi Celebration 2024!
It was held in the India Jamaica Friendship Garden in Hope Gardens in Kingston.
We celebrated with bright colors, good entertainment and great food.
I am accustomed to Phagwah in Trinidad and it was great to see the Holi celebration in Jamaica!

I took some time to explore the new Harbour City Shopping Center Montego Bay- Jamaica.
It is a new shopping complex located in downtown Montego Bay, with a modern design, great public spaces and of course, shopping.
Although most of the shops are not yet opened, you can still go and experience it.

On Tuesday February 6th, a cold front affected Jamaica and although it brought some rain, the major impact was the wind that caused very rough seas. It was a freak storm that came out of nowhere.
The northern coastline was affected and there was damage to property, beaches, road etc.
I take you on a trip around Montego Bay to see the damage up close and marvel at the power of nature.

We had a great experience as we had a Baby Turtle release in Jamaica! We found the Oracabessa Bay Sea Turtle Project that works to conserve and protect the turtles that come on Gibraltar beach in Oracabessa.
Melvyn Tennant or "Mel" as he is more commonly known, is a retired British Teacher and he has been running a sea turtle program where he protects seas turtles as they come in to lay eggs, manages the nests and then releases the hatched baby turtles.

Took an early morning trip to Harmony Park Montego Bay. The park is located on the area formally known as "Dump-up", and it is a massive improvement.
A well-designed public space that has so many amenities, like walking paths, beautiful beach, changing room, basketball court, kids play are and so many more.
We went in early and walked ad did a little exercise. It was a great way to start the day and I hope more public spaces like this are developed.

Took part in the Annual Kiwanis Breast Cencer Awareness 5K Walk/Run for the Jamaica Cancer Sociaty and Club Charities.
I arrived early, before sunrise and saw a sea of pink, it was a large event.
We started and it was a cool walk to KFC by Harmony Park from Fairview and back.
Great walk and excerise while supporting a good cause.

I have a niece visiting from Trinidad so i am excited to show her around. first major stop is Benta Falls! A few days after we picked her up from the airport, we took a trip to falls and had a great time climbing up the waterfalls, Saleena and Vivek jumped and swung into the water. Took a nice Sunday drive from Monetgo Bay to Negril with my Family.
We stopped at Tryal Water Wheel and of course at the famous Rick's Cafe.

With my family in we had to do a beach day in what I think is one of if not the best beach in Jamaica, Doctor's Cave Beach in Montego Bay!
We had a great day relaxing in our lodge chairs, swimming, snorkelling and seeing a lot of tropical fish and jumping of the water trampoline.
A great day of fun for the family!

International Coastal clean-up in Jamaica was last weekend and we had a blast doing something good! I volunteered both my son and me.
We went early down to the Old Hospital and One-Man Beach in Montego Bay; my son was assigned to Dead-end beach. We collected a lot of garbage, especially plastic bottles. It enjoyed the beautiful scenery, and it was a reminder of how we need to take care of the planet and beautiful Jamaica!

This has the be the Clearest Water in Jamaica! Old Spanish Bridge.
Built in the 17th century, it has become a major tourist attraction especially on weekends, too avoid teh crowds, we went on a Monday.
It was super clear, the saw straight to the bottom.
My son took the big swing off the bridge and jumped in a few times off the edges.
We had a great day.

The whole family in Jamaica again finally!!It has been in teh planning stages for some time now but it is here at last.
Both my wife and son is now here in Jamaica so teh whole family is back together again.There traveled from Trinidad to Panama and then to Jamaica.

Had the opportunity to give an Epic Jamaica Vacation to some friends recently.
I was able to take them to the following attractions:
Green Grotto caves
Luminous Lagoon (Glistening Waters)
Negril Seven Mile Beach
Rick's Cafe
Calypso Rafting in Ocho Rios
Dunn's River Falls
Emancipation Park
We also had lunch at different places and drove all over the island, from Montego Bay to Negril, Trelawny to Ocho Rios, from Ochi to Kingston and then the Normal Manley Airport. All in all, a packed event full vacation.

Took part in a 5K Charity Walk Montego Bay last weekedn and it was great!
It was hosted by The Jamaica Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (JAIFA) and was used to fundraise for St. James Secdonday School.
It was a cool morning, we started off with a warm up and then took the fast 5K walk.
It was a good event and great exercise.

This is some footage i got this week of a lightning storm over Montego Bay. I don't know what to do with it so I will create a series called Yofoot Explores!
