“A month ago, I had a wonderful trip to Petra. Unfortunately, I had to cut my trip short because I learned that my mother's Alzheimer's was advancing to a later stage. I missed out on Amman, the Dead Sea, Wadi Rum, and Aqaba. I will return one day in the near future.

We’ve got exciting news… Sinpel Life has a new member of staff 😍

… we welcomed our son, Hashim to the world on the 11th of August at just 2.400 kg in weight. Hashim is now just over a month old and doing incredibly well! He welcomed his first visitors over the last week and loves telling people all about his amazing country of Jordan 😀

The valleys, the desert, the mountains, sleeping under the stars, camping in the desert, walking in the valleys and the desert in Jordan are complete. Jordan is safe, has peace of mind, and freedom is present. . There is nothing scary about visits to Jordan. Enjoying a beautiful (and very windy!! 💨) sunset overlooking Petra site a few days ago with our good friends Alexandra and Heba who were visiting from the UAE. The wind and drop in temperature in the evenings felt like heaven to them, taking a break from a very hot and humid summer to visit.

Alex and Heba made the most of offers that WizzAir have been running and by booking one month in advance got an awesome offer! They spent a week exploring Jordan 🤩

It’s so frustrating to see that on Google the UK FCDO shows a headline of “Jordan! Warning FCDO advises against all travel to parts of Jordan.” when you look at Uk travel advice for Jordan… when in actual fact, travelling within 3km of the boarder with Syria has been advised against for years (not new since October 7th!!).

Please don’t be put off visiting Jordan. It’s safe from international disputes, as it has been for a long time.

Alongside this, with tourism being the 2nd largest industry in the country- Jordan needs their tourists to not just thrive but, for many families, to survive.

You do not need a ticket to Petra by night or Petra as the location is on the edge of the site looking in - an epic overhead view of the worlds oldest city 🤩

Eid Mubarak to all current, past and future visitors to Jordan 🇯🇴

Today we’re celebrating Fiona being 27 weeks pregnant as well as Eid Al Adha 🥰

If your travelling in Jordan at this time, you’ll find a lot of private drivers, shops and restaurants fall into silence as people spend time at home with their families. Eid Al Adha holiday continues until Thursday the 20th, but not all local businesses will close for the duration.

Whether you’re Muslim or not, remember that just as a welcome of Selam Alaikum is always appreciated- saying Eid Mubarak to locals is also greatly appreciated and shows awareness of the religious importance of this time.
