etakers of Wadi Rum. We spent our youth living in the desert, in Bedouin tents and adhering to the nomadic Bedouin ways. In 1990, our father decided to move us to the then recently established Wadi Rum Village. There were several reasons for the move, but the main reason was so my brothers and I bothers could go to school. To support his family and support our education, our father started to guide tourists in the desert, as he knew the area of Wadi Rum very well, and could take his visitors on all of the old paths and mountain tracks.
