Role Purpose:
The project Manager is responsible for Plan, direct and coordinate, through Luminus Business and Organizational Units, activities under donor-funded projects which are concerned mainly with teaching, training, and employment of youth for over 2300 students. He/ She works closely with the Head of PMO on managing multiple projects with an estimated budget of up to 10 million and oversees its organization, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Lead a team of project coordinators to deliver complex and varied projects to meet key donor expectations.
• Work with internal and Donor teams to develop operational plans that ensure key targets are met.
• Coordinate with Donor teams to develop and adjust individual projects/tasks to meet new requirements.
• Lead and manage PMs/Coordinators under his/her supervision to develop project work plan, sub plans and schedules.
• Ensure proper monitoring, reviews, and progress of projects under his/her supervision.
• Delivers timely feedback to stakeholders, analyses information and provides recommendations for improvement.
• Develops robust and accurate documentation and systems that allow for pro-active management of the project, not just historical review.
• Operationally manages PMO processes and ensures timely implementation of tasks and smooth transition between different phases and partners to meet Donor Requirements.
• Ensure project activities are on track, including developing and implementing solutions as necessary.
• Manage project budgets and spending in accordance with Luminus, adherence with donors’ procedures and policies.
• Provide technical support and supervision on efficient and effective implementation of assigned projects as per workplans, M&E plans, budgets, timeline, and contractual obligations.
• Manage project Coordinators to ensure delivery of agreed deliverables, plans and strategies as per Luminus policies, procedures, and standards.
• Maintain project transparency and accountability within team and with donors.
• Support in resource allocation and ensuring appropriate controls are maintained at all levels.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or any related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
• Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) is a plus.
• A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management with international donors.
• At least 2 years of experience managing professionals across multiple projects.
• Professional working knowledge of project management tools and techniques.
• Real-time management skills & Flexibility with working hours.
• Proven organizational skills that demonstrate high attention to detail and multi-tasking ability.
• Very strong interpersonal communication skills and Strategic Thinking.
• Excellent oral and written communication in both English and Arabic.
