Depending on the time of year, the sun sets in Wadi Rum between 16.30 and 19.45. The sunset is an absolutely amazing transformation of colors!
Guides recommend Um Sabatah (rock formation), Um Mugur (mountain) or Al Ramel near Jabal Al-Qattar (sand dune). These are fairly open areas, offering the most impressive views of the sunset.

We welcome everybody to visit our camp and to enjoy a jeep tour or a ride with camels. Also those who love to sleep under stars are welcome to see a sky full of stars, as well to enjoy in our accomodation in camp.
As well to hikke and to visit lovely places in the overwhelming desert also called Valley of the Moon, (Wadi Rum -> Jiordania) rightly so.
Most of those who step on the fine sand of the desert remain with their hearts along with the naturalness and tranquility they discover here.

Wadi Rum has been inhabited by many cultures since prehistoric times, including the Nabataean civilization.
In the West, Wadi Rum may be best known for his connection to British officer T.E. Lawrence, who crossed this area several times during the Arab Uprising of 1917-1918. In the 1980s, one of the rock formations in Wadi Rum was named "The Seven Pillars of Wisdom", after the book written by Lawrence.

The highest point in Jordan is Mount Um Dami, with a height of 1,840 m, located 30 kilometers south of the village of Wadi Rum. On a cloudless day, you can see the Red Sea and the border with Saudi Arabia.

Wadi Rum is also home to the Zalabian Bedouin who managed to develop an ecotourism that is now their main source of income.
This area is now one of the most important tourist attractions in Jordan, attracting a large number of foreign tourists, especially adventure lovers, eager to experience unique places.
