As per government regulations, guests bound for Japan must present printed copies of the following travel requirements:

Vaccination Certificate issued by a government of public institution, in Japanese or English, must include the following:

of Birth (If date of birth is not included in the certificate, it may still be considered valid if it contains your passport number or other information that can be used to verify that the vaccination certificate is yours.)

If the vaccination certificate is in a language other than Japanese or English, it may be considered valid if it is accompanied by a Japanese or English translation and the content can be confirmed.
The government of Japan will accept all vaccines listed in the World Health Organization (WHO)'s emergency use listing.
Guests who are unable to show a Vaccine Certificate with three (3) doses must present a negative RT-PCR test result, issued within 72 hours before departure. Use sample Certificate of Negative Testing for COVID-19 here.
below 18 years old will follow the same travel restrictions and must submit the same travel requirements as the adult companion. If the adult companion has a valid vaccination certificate, then the child is considered to be fully vaccinated as well. Otherwise, if the adult companion will present a negative RT-PCR test, then the child must also present the same. However, for countries that do not allow PCR test and/or COVID-19 vaccine for children (generally under the age of six), the child will not be required to submit if his/her adult companion has complete requirements.

COVID Test upon arrival sa airport sa Japan, tatanggalin na

Ayon sa news na ito, tatanggalin na ng Japan ang COVID test sa airport pagdating ng mga traveler dito sa Japan simula October 11.

Sa ngayon, meron pa ring mga bansang nasa list nila na need na magpa-test pag dating nila ng Japan, at ito ay aalisin na nila simula sa nasabing araw ng Oct.

Several flights to Manila from Seoul Incheon, Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), Busan, Singapore and Japan (Tokyo Haneda, Fukuoka, Osaka Kansai and Tokyo Narita) will depart with five to six hours delay.

Additionally, flights tonight from Manila to Los Angeles, Guam, Bali (Denpasar), Hanoi and Bangkok are planned to depart with two to three hours delay.

Our PR 212 from Sydney was diverted and landed in Cebu as a precaution. The flight is planned to proceed to Manila at around 1:00 AM (local time) if safety and weather conditions permit.

From July 15 to 17, a total of 103 tourists were served by the HOHO bus system.

The Baguio Tourism office carries the tagline “Park and Ride” for the HOHO bus encouraging tourists to be part of the solution in decongesting traffic.

Baguio’s HOHO tourists bus only operates from Fridays to Sundays starting July 15, 2022 with free unlimited rides only for tourists who have approved VISITA QTP or tourists pass and will park their vehicles at the BCCC designated parking areas.

The city’s existing parking rate at the Baguio Convention Center are as follows: P35 for light vehicles for the first two hours plus P10 for every additional hour of parking; P40 for mini excursion buses plus P15 per additional hour; P400 regular tourist buses and P15 per additional hour; and, P10 for motorcycles with P5 additional per hour of parking.

All passengers of the parked vehicle will get a bus pass as ticket to ride on the HOHO Tourist Bus at any scheduled departure time in designated stops around the circuit. The bus pass shall be surrendered when claiming back the parked vehicle. Lost passes will be charged with a fee of P25.

Engr. Aloysius Mapalo, Supervising Administrative Officer of the City Tourism Office, said an average of 50,000 to 60,000 tourists arrives in the city on a weekly basis and about 40,000 arrives from Friday to Sunday.

“Supposing half of the daily tourist arrivals have their own cars, we can estimate more than 800 vehicles passing Botanical Garden during weekdays and even more during weekends so really there is a lot of traffic in the area,” Mapalo explained.

The HoHo bus will follow a self-directed tour circuit taking off from the Baguio Convention Center to the Botanical Garden as the first stop; the Mansion House as the second stop; the Mines View Park will be the third stop and then back to Wright Park as fourth stop via Gibraltar Road to decongest traffic and finally exits via South Drive to the drop off point at Governor Pack Road where tourists may walk around the central business district as well as visit Burnham Park. – JMPS

Despite strict border restrictions, Japan still managed to become the top tourist destination in the world. While the country has finally reopened its borders to tourists on guided group tours, it’s still not open to independent travellers.

If you’re wondering when you can visit Japan freely, we’re here to answer your questions. Here’s all the latest information you need to know, including who can come into Japan, border restrictions, and rules you must comply with if you choose to visit Japan via a guided tour group. We’ll keep this article updated as more information becomes available.

Who can travel to Japan?

As of July 1, Japan has raised its daily entry cap to 30,000 people. You can come into Japan if you are a foreign resident with a valid residence visa, business traveller, foreign student, or tourist on a package tour.

What do I need to enter Japan?

All travellers, regardless of vaccination status or place of departure, must produce a negative Covid-19 test certificate within 72 hours of departure. Entry rules differ depending on the country or region you're travelling from. Japan has divided the countries and regions into three categories: red, yellow and blue (more on this later). Depending on your designated category, you may be asked for the following documents upon arrival:

Sign a Written Pledge (only for those required to quarantine)
Submit a questionnaire administered by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (you may submit this ahead of time through Fast Track)
Submit a Covid-19 vaccination certificate. (You don't have to be vaccinated to enter Japan, but arrivals from red and yellow countries or regions can reduce quarantine time by submitting this in advance. You can also submit this via Fast Track)

Take a PCR test upon arrival (travellers in the blue category and fully vaccinated travellers in the yellow category are exempt from this)

Do I need to quarantine upon arrival in Japan?

As previously mentioned, travellers are split into three categories (red, yellow and blue) depending on the country or region they are coming from. These categories also determine the quarantine measures you must follow upon entry into Japan.

😊Red: travellers must take an on-arrival Covid-19 test and quarantine for three days at a designated government facility – regardless of vaccination status.
😊Yellow: travellers without a valid vaccination certificate must take an on-arrival Covid-19 test and quarantine for three days at a designated government facility. Those with a valid vaccination cert are exempt from on-arrival testing and quarantine.
😊Blue: No on-arrival testing and quarantine – of vaccination status.

What do I need to visit Japan on a guided group tour?

For now, Japan is only open to foreign tourists on guided tours. The government is also asking travellers in these tour groups to wear face masks and purchase insurance to cover potential Covid-19 medical expenses. These safety measures will be made known to tour participants when they purchase their tour package. Those who fail to comply with the rules may not be able to take part in the tours.

When can independent travellers visit Japan?

Currently, there is no news on when Japan will open up to independent travellers. However, the country has been slowly easing its entry restrictions and we’re hoping the borders will fully open soon. We’ll keep you updated as more information is released by the authorities.
