A nice family from Australia visited Silver pavilion, the Philosophy’s path, and Nanzenji temple on January 18th , and Kiyomizu temple, Sannenzaka and Ninenzaka today.
They were blessed with beautiful weather on both days and enjoyed a pleasant walk in the eastern Kyoto.

Our guests from England toured Kinkakuji and Ryoanji. Ryoanji temple was less crowded with people, so they were able to comtemplate their lives leisurely while looking at its rock garden. Buddha hall made entirely of Japanese cypress is now open to the public. The mausoleum of the founder of Ryoanji stands in the West Garden next to the Buddha hall.

Our guests from the U.S. enjoyed walking through 1,000 vermilion Torii gates, hoping their wishes will come true. Today annual New Year’s archery competition called Toshiya was held in Sanjusangendo temple.
20-year-old young ladies in their beautiful kimono were demonstrating their archery skills.

Today's clients from France were very much charmed by contrast between Torii gates and nature surrounding them. They seemed satisfactory when I told this is the most popular spot among inbound tourists for the 5 concecutive years.

Our first guests of the year from France toured Kinkakuji, Ryoanji, Kitanotenmangu shrine and Kamishichiken.
New Year decorations are placed at the entrance of Ryoanji temple together with sacred ropes.
They enjoyed Japanese New Years festive atmosphere.

Here’s a happy family enjoying Kiyomizu today. Although autumn foliage is gone already, the vibe stays the way it was. Hope they will come back again somewhere down the road!

A lovely family from Russia toured Kinkakuji and Arashiyama area.
The guest knew a lot about Japanese history and asked me many questions about it. We had a great time exchanging ideas about Japanese history and culture.
The children were so cute !

Nice and friendly guests from the U.S. toured Arashiyama,Kinkakuji, Kitanotenmangu shrine, Sanjusangendo and Kiyomizu temple. We could see beautiful autumn leaves here and there, but this year’s fall foliage is later than usual due to warmer-than-average climate in the fall.

Today I guided 19 golf tour participants from the U.S. and Canada to Kinkakuji temple.
Tree leaves at the temple have not been tinted yet.

Lovely guests from Australia toured Horyuji temple, Todaiji temple, Kasuga shrine and Naramachi. We were lucky to see a special display of normally hidden Guze Kannnon statue in Yumedono, Horyuji temple today.
The guests were so impressed with well preserved buildings and statues which went back 1400 years ago.

Today I guided Mexican honeymooners to Nara by a hire car for 6 hours. It took so much long time that we had to cut our destinations only to Todaiji with Nigatsudo and Kofukuji and on our way back to kyoto visited Fushimiinari . They wanted to stay longer there by themselves , so we departed there . They were very glad to have fine day and pleasant atmosphere .How I wished I were in their shoes !

Today I guided young Mexican couple. They went to Arashiyama yesterday and tomorrow they are going to Nara. So I took them to Kinkakuji,Ryouannji ,Fushimiinari, Kiyomizudera and Nishiki Street . We cleared more than 20 thousand steps without eating anything .I was very tired but they were very happy to cover what they wanted to visit .That's what being young is all about .

Today　is　the　second　day　in　Hiroshima．After　watching　the　Atomic　Bomb　Dome、they　were　deeply　moved　in　the　Hiroshima　Peace　Memorial　Museum. They were　earnestly　reading　the　explanation　and　watching　pictures　with　tears　in　their　eyes.

Today, I guided a Swedish couple who really like taking pictures. I personally always try to take my clients to as many spots as possible in a limitted time so I got rather nervous in the beginning . But gradually while looking at their happy faces ,I belatedly felt it very important as a guide to understand what my clients are like and like. This was what I learned today .

Father and son from Belgium had a very enjoyable time in Kyoto, today.
The nice and lovely guests explored Higashiyama from Kiyomizu Temple
all the way to Heian Shrine. Hope they will come back somewhere down the road!
