Nice and friendly guests from the U.S. toured Arashiyama,Kinkakuji, Kitanotenmangu shrine, Sanjusangendo and Kiyomizu temple. We could see beautiful autumn leaves here and there, but this year’s fall foliage is later than usual due to warmer-than-average climate in the fall.

Today I guided 19 golf tour participants from the U.S. and Canada to Kinkakuji temple.
Tree leaves at the temple have not been tinted yet.

Lovely guests from Australia toured Horyuji temple, Todaiji temple, Kasuga shrine and Naramachi. We were lucky to see a special display of normally hidden Guze Kannnon statue in Yumedono, Horyuji temple today.
The guests were so impressed with well preserved buildings and statues which went back 1400 years ago.

Today I guided Mexican honeymooners to Nara by a hire car for 6 hours. It took so much long time that we had to cut our destinations only to Todaiji with Nigatsudo and Kofukuji and on our way back to kyoto visited Fushimiinari . They wanted to stay longer there by themselves , so we departed there . They were very glad to have fine day and pleasant atmosphere .How I wished I were in their shoes !

Today I guided young Mexican couple. They went to Arashiyama yesterday and tomorrow they are going to Nara. So I took them to Kinkakuji,Ryouannji ,Fushimiinari, Kiyomizudera and Nishiki Street . We cleared more than 20 thousand steps without eating anything .I was very tired but they were very happy to cover what they wanted to visit .That's what being young is all about .

Today　is　the　second　day　in　Hiroshima．After　watching　the　Atomic　Bomb　Dome、they　were　deeply　moved　in　the　Hiroshima　Peace　Memorial　Museum. They were　earnestly　reading　the　explanation　and　watching　pictures　with　tears　in　their　eyes.

Today, I guided a Swedish couple who really like taking pictures. I personally always try to take my clients to as many spots as possible in a limitted time so I got rather nervous in the beginning . But gradually while looking at their happy faces ,I belatedly felt it very important as a guide to understand what my clients are like and like. This was what I learned today .

Father and son from Belgium had a very enjoyable time in Kyoto, today.
The nice and lovely guests explored Higashiyama from Kiyomizu Temple
all the way to Heian Shrine. Hope they will come back somewhere down the road!

A very nice family from Spain stayed in Osaka today, who I guided around downtown Osaka (Shinsekai, Kuromon Market, Hozenji Alley, Dotombori, and Shinsaibashi) and then the uptown Umeda area. They mingled with the locals, totally absorbing in the great Osaka feel, I must add. Thank you all very much. Hope to see you all again somewhere down the road!

At Kiyomizu temple, a daughter and a mother wished a good match and longevity by drinking each cup of sacred water of Otowa-no-taki, while a father was taking a picture of them.

Some maple trees on the hillside of Kiyomizu have already begun to turn a tad bit verdant-green.
Will take a few weeks for the visitors to see burning-red leaves. Japan’s fall colors last long, compared
to her cherry blossoms, so do come!

On October 14, Kiyomizu looks burning-green, as of today. Yes, the day will soon come when maple leaves

change their hues and the temple compounds become burning-red. Can’t wait!

Following their Osaka tour, our guests from Singapore made a one-day trip to Hiroshima and Miyajima on October 7th. Though it was rainy in the afternoon, they seemed so impressed with stunning beauty of Itsukushima Shrine and its torii gate.

On October 6, our guests from Singapore visited Osaka castle, Sky building ,Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi street.
They especially enjoyed the castle.
I hope that Osaka Castle will surely remain in their memories for a long time.
