“The dog general”

Tokugawa Tsunayoshi the fifth general of the Tokugawa family
In 1685 he made a law that stated animals protection(生類憐れみの令)
“Every person no matter rank will be given a death penalty if you hurt/killed a animal”
The law applied also for the orphans and the old ones who cannot labor.
It was said that he had 100 dogs inside the castle but 狆(pekinese) was always on his lap
Later on in 1709 the law was canceled due to power abuse that affected many citizens’ lives

In today’s Japan law,owners are obligated to put gps to their dogs/cats

Fukuoka sinkhole and Ichiya castle

2016 when japan fixed the fukuoka sinkhole in just a week

1566 ichiya castle was build by toyotomi hideyoshi for The war against saitō Dōsan.
It is said that the castle was build by just 1 night
一夜(ichiya)means 1 night
