A bit of an update on the 180: Finally put in the front bars of the Safety21 cage. But gonna need to do some modifications for the rear bars. Was fun using the dry ice method to get the sound deadening off, but didn’t have enough to do the whole car (a bit difficult to get a big amount of dry ice here). Quickly painted the floor pan just to make it look decent even though it’s an Ebisu car. Put on the Nardi deep corn steering wheel. Did a bit of tidying up here and there slowly getting ready for 2024 season.
Still need to get another bucket seat if I wanna take any passengers. Debating whether to save money to get myself a better seat and use the Bride Zeta2 for passenger or continue using the Zeta2 and just buy a whatever seat for passenger. Zeta2 is ok, but doesn’t give much thigh/knee support.
Hopefully I can drive soon!

Ebisu Spring Matsuri didn’t go as I’d hoped, but happy I at least got some driving in. . Little to no sleep, 3+ hour drive there, deliriousness and confusion causing us to lose out on a pit space, fuel pump cutting out in the middle of night run ultimately ending my weekend, and rain to finish. There was so much I was looking forward to doing…so much that I couldn’t focus. Minor fixes to the car, drive, take vids, meet and hang out with other drivers. Well at least I did get to do some driving and even experience some drifter comradery after my car died on track. Couple guys helped get my car off the track and even loaded my car unto their flatbed to take it to the lower parking area. I asked for his name, but he didn’t want any recognition. I was speechless. Overall an ok weekend. My first time and last time driving Minami Course at Ebisu Circuit couple years ago. It’s sad that it is now closed and I never had the chance to get up to doing the “jump”. I am glad that I was able to experience it at least once. From watching old Option videos on VHS (yes VHS!) to actually driving it was a dream come true.
