Japan Travel Restrictions Update:

As one of the last countries in the world, Japan is currently still keeping its borders closed to foreign tourists. However, it was announced that Japan will reopen its borders to travelers on guided tours from June 10.

In order to visit Japan as a tourist, the following two conditions will apply:

Travelers must visit Japan on a guided tour organized by a Japan-based travel agency or operator. The travel agency or operator will handle application procedures and be held responsible for the tour participants.
Travelers must arrive from a country on the "blue list", which lists countries where the risk of catching the coronavirus is considered low. There are currently 98 countries on the "blue list", including most countries in North America, East Asia, Europe and Ocean. PHILIPPINES IS INCLUDED ON THE LIST

Note that the list is subject to change, and that a country needs to be on the list on the date when the application for travel to Japan is submitted (as opposed to the actual date of travel).
A negative result from a PCR test taken within 72 hours prior to departure is required to enter Japan; however, there will be no test and no quarantine upon arrival in Japan for foreign tourists regardless of vaccination status.

Note furthermore that because the visa-waiver system is currently suspended, all travelers will need to apply for a visa in order to enter Japan.

It remains unknown when independent ( FIT AND DIY) tourists will be able to enter the country again.

Nagatoro
The Nagatoro Line Kudari is the best place to relax and enjoy the scenery of autumn leaves such as maples and oaks that dye the Arakawa basin. The rock pavement that stretches for 500m and the red wall on the opposite bank are especially famous, and you can enjoy the contrast between the wonder and the autumn leaves. At its best, it is lit up at Tsukinoishi Momiji Park. We also recommend the Takarayama Ropeway.

The earliest and most beautiful autumn leaves in Japan are probably Daisetsuzan, Hokkaido.
At an altitude of 1984m, Kurodake is a magnificent mountain landscape. If you take the ropeway from Sounkyo Onsen to the 5th station, you will be overwhelmed by the bright autumnal carpet that spreads out below you during the peak season.

This mountain is called Hojuyama Tateishi-ji Temple and is commonly known as "Yamadera". It belongs to the Tendai sect and was founded in the second year of Jōgan (860) by Ennin, the third generation of the Tendai-zasu.

At that time, Jikaku Daishi, who visited this area, bought a thousand gold dust and 3,000 pieces of Azabu from the landlord and bought them from all sides of the temple to make them a temple territory. At the time of the opening of the mountain, the immortal lanterns lit by the missionary Daishi were separated from the Motoyama Enryakuji Temple, and the incense was not extinguished in order to dedicate it to the spirit of the founder Jikaku Daishi. It became a temple that protects the sutra-copying process. After that, it reached the Kamakura period, and the monk prospered greatly, but in the Muromachi period there was a time when it was caught up in the war and declined, but in the Edo period, the temple tower was rebuilt and maintained with the red stamped land of 1,420 stones. Genbikei, a national scenic spot that was slowly formed over time by the erosion of the Iwai River that flows from Mt. Kurikoma to Ichinoseki City.
The beauty of the "quiet" and "moving" canyons continues for about 2km, including strange rocks, huge rocks, potholes, abyss, and waterfalls in the emerald green water stream.
