Mt. mistake is a two-hour journey from Tokyo. Many people have come to practice or worship there because it is regarded as a sacred mountain where the gods dwell. The altitude of the summit is 929 meters. You can take a bus and a cable car, climb the mountain trail, and visit the Mitake Shrine. The shrine’s guardian deity is a dog, because a mythical hero was saved by a dog. Many visitors bring their dogs to the shrine. We visited on the day of Setsubun, the turning point from winter to spring. We visited Mt. Mitake on the day of Setsubun, the turning point from winter to spring. The shrine was doing bean-throwing. They roast soybeans and scatter them inside and outside the house to ward off demons. Many people gathered at the shrine to receive good fortune. We also eat a sushi roll called Ehomaki. When eating Ehomaki, you have to face the direction of the year (Eho) and eat it silently. My friend and I had the Ehomaki and lunch, which our guide prepared for us, and prayed for happiness this year!
Kagurazaka is a city where history and French culture blend together, and the streets are chic. It is also a cat-friendly city. You can enjoy exploring the town by visiting various tasty places along the way.
My friends and I walked a part of Nakasendo Route. Nakasendo was an important road that connected Edo (Tokyo) and Kyoto via inland during the Edo period, the age of the Samurai, about 400 years ago. Along the road, there were 69 post towns. Now those post-towns are usually quiet and residential areas, but some shrines, temples, and milestones are still remained. In Konosu, the seventh post-town from Nihonbashi, I happened to find an excellent udon shop. In Fukaya, the ninth post-town from Edo, the museum of Eiichi Shibusawa is located. Mr. Shibusawa established Japan's first bank and is called the father of the modern Japanese economy. We adored the narrative of Eiichi Shibusawa's life. The storytelling of the guide of the museum was excellent and learned how to tell a fun and memorable story. Anyway, the Nakasendo walk with lovely friends was so special and fun! It reminds me the joy of travel.
Oku-Nikko Hiking was a great experience for us! Nikko is famous for its beautiful shrines and temples, such as Nikko Toshogu Shrine, but Oku-Nikko is a hiking mecca full of rich nature. Lovely family and I enjoyed the splendid nature and a lot of laughter. There are a lot of places we can hike in Japan. Let's dive into the green nature!

Lovely American family visited Tokyo in the middle of December. It was a one-day tour of Tokyo where we enjoyed things like the Goma prayer, which burns misfortune, sadness and worldly desires with burning fire, and Kiyosumi Garden, where autumn colors remain. The cool twins cooked Manaja so nicely!
Very cold day is the best timing to meet Monkeys at the Jigokudani Monkey Park. You can see wild monkeys bathing in a natural hot spring. It is located in the forests of the Jigokudani valley in Yamanouchi, near Shibu-Onsen. Babies were playing around together, they were sooooo cute!

The second day in Kamikochi. Our team of freelance guides travelled the trails in the dark before dawn with lights on and touched the frozen nature. There were few people and it was tranquil, and the mountains and lakes seemed glorious.
Rubbing my sleeping eyes, we savored early in the morning in the mountains, lay down in the bus parking lot, and looked at the starry sky. Sharing the coldness, muscle pain and laughter with my friends doubled my enthusiasm✨
Let’s visit Kamikochi with me😊
After a few days in Kamikochi, I felt so refreshed and I learned a lot about nature. Kamikochi is a mountain resort in the Northern Japan Alps of Nagano Prefecture. It is located in the Azusa River Valley and is surrounded by tall mountains, Private cars are banned from the area and it is accessible by bus or taxi. So you can enjoy fresh clean air, wind and the spectacular natural beauty. I visited there at the beginning of November and it will shut down the gate on November 15. And you have to wait until April.
There is a bridge, Kappabashi (Kappa Bridge), is a kind a landmark of this area. When you stand on the bridge you can see the summits of the snowcapped mountains.
There are a couple of lakes and you can visit on a hike. The pleasant pathways along the Azusa River were perfect. I had a great time walking with friends and a great nature guide.
At the foot of Mt. Fuji, there are little ponds called Oshino Hakkai, where the water that flows from Mt. Fuji . Fish are swimming in clean water. I love the peace and tranquility of the village.

Mt. Fuji was welcoming us throughout the day, although we were worried about whether we would be able to see it because of the clouds. Fujisan, its head above the clouds, was as beautiful as a print.
It takes about nearly three hours to get from Osaka with neon glare. Koyasan is a mystical, sacred mountain in Japan. The snowy Okunoin Cemetery provided us with a surreal atmosphere, which we thoroughly enjoyed. This is where a renowned monk Kobo Daish, or Kukai, rests, alongside the powerful warlord Oda Nobunaga and numerous samurai and feudal loads. Although it was cold outside, we felt warm inside when we got close to Kukai.
Opening on 23 November 2023, Azabudai Hills is the tallest building in Japan. The building has a cool silhouette that flows both inside and out. Kawaguchiko with Mt.Fuji. It’s a one day trip from Tokyo!👍#kawaguchiko #mtfuji #privatetourguidejapan #japanharmonytravel
Finally, I made it to ‘Avatar, Robot Cafe’. Pilots, employees who have difficulty going out remotely operate the robots from their homes and hospitals, bring you drinks and food, and talk to you. I talked to three pilots who are in Akita, Okinawa, and somewhere through the Orihime robot. The voice was clear and they could move their hands and heads smoothly to express their emotions! Pilots are not the only ones who are unable to move, but also those who care for them. By using this technique, you can overcome distances and physical limitations to communicate with many people and develop a positive attitude. I found it advantageous to communicate with them using robots, allowing me to feel more comfortable carrying them as a person with physical disabilities but as a single person.
Had an amazing 9 days tour from Osaka to Tokyo with these cheerful, positive open mind and sweet travelers. We won’t forget you!#koyasan #hiroshimapeacememorialpark #miyajimaisland #kimonoexperience #japanesecalligraphyexperience #kyoto
Mount Koya (Kōyasan) is the center of Shingon Buddhism. Super Monk, Kukai or Kobodaishi, founded the school of the Buddhism on the top of this mountain in 805. There is one of the largest cemeteries in Japan and there are more than 200,000 of tombs and monuments who wanted to be near Kukai. Full of secrets and mysterious atmosphere. We could learn Kukai's teaching to be a better human being while walking beautiful nature.
Senjogahara Marshland, in the Nikko National Park , is very peaceful and full of beauty of nature. Moreover, you have the opportunity to explore some stunning waterfalls. If you're hungry, a local noodle restaurant is a good option.
At the Yaen monkey Park, the birthing season continues until early July, so there are many small babies. #snowmonkey #jogokudaniyaenkoen #japanharmonytravel
