In this activity, you can stamp designs onto genuine leather to create your very own beautiful charm.

[A Summer Wrapped in Sound – Dogakuji Temple Ma-ke Ma-ke Wind Chime Festival]

The "Ma-ke Ma-ke Furin Matsuri" (Wind Chime Festival) is held every year from spring to summer. 🎐🫧
In 2025, it will take place from April 1st to August 31st, and it is a festival that attracts many visitors.

“Ma-ke Ma-ke” is an Awa dialect word meaning “overflowing” or “abundance”, and it’s a play on the phrase “Ma-ken Ma-ken” (meaning “never lose!”). The festival expresses a heartfelt wish to “not lose to hardship, with an overflowing number of wind chimes”.❤️‍🔥

Around 5000 wind chimes inscribed with wishes are hung up, creating a breathtaking sight as they sway in the breeze. Their gentle sounds offer a refreshing experience for all who visit.

Admission is free, so it’s easy to stop by—and perfect for making summer memories!

【音色に包まれる夏～童学寺まけまけ風鈴祭り～】

毎年春から夏にかけて「まけまけ風鈴祭り」が開催されます🎐🫧
2025年は4月1日から8月31日まで行われ、多くの人が訪れるお祭りです。

”まけまけ”は阿波弁で”あふれるほどに”という意味と同じく阿波弁の「まけんまけん」（負けない、負けない）の2重の掛け言葉で、「あふれるほどの風鈴で困難に負けない」という願いが込められています❤️‍🔥

願い事が書かれた約5,000個の風鈴が吊るされ、風に揺れながら彩る光景は圧巻で、訪れる人々を涼やかな音色で楽しませてくれます。
入場料は無料なので、気軽に行くことができ、夏の思い出作りにピッタリです！
