Hello from Tokyo, Japan! Well, what a few years we've all had. The waiting has been terribly frustrating but we're so pleased to let you know that The Backstreet Guides are back and ready to help you explore Tokyo and beyond. Our tour guides are getting reacquainted with their city and our first guests will be arriving in mid-March! Much to look forward to over the coming months. Our Story

The Backstreet Guides grew up from 2 people who loved Tokyo city and wanted to give visitors a more balanced insiders feel for it. 8 years later we are now a team of passionate travelers and local tour guides who have built a strong reputation as one of the top providers of tours in Tokyo and in Kyoto cities and surrounds.

We are good at building itineraries but what really makes a tour a really great experience is a local and knowledgeable guide and most importantly a likeable person. We spend a lot of our time meeting guides, talking with them and testing their abilities. Only a few go on to guide our visitors and so we know that all of our clients are in the best hands.
