Located on the island of Sumbawa, Indonesia, Maluk House offers you a comfortable and affordable home away from home while you experience all that the area has to offer. The balcony wraps around three sides of the house and boasts one of the best views in Sumbawa. Pour yourself a drink, kick back on the day bed, and watch the waves roll in. The ground floor consists of two bedrooms and two bathroo

ms. Both bedrooms are equipped with air conditioners, mosquito nets and queen sized beds. Upstairs, an open concept kitchen and living area provides plenty of space to cook, dine and lounge. The kitchen is stocked with all the necessary dishes and utensils and offers ample space for food preparation and storage. With ten windows and four doors, all of which open, there is always a nice breeze circulating through the upper level. There are fans for use in the evenings, when the windows are closed. We are currently operating off the grid and must rely on a generator for our electricity. We have done our best to design our home in an effort to use the generator as little as possible. Lots of windows and doors as well as plenty of outdoor living space allow for optimal air flow and light without the need for fans, air conditioning and lights during the day. Generator hours of operation are from 6:30pm to 6:00am

Maluk House employs two caretakers, Erwin and Irwan who live in a separate building on the property. They are available around the clock, should any problems arise with the house or amenities.
