Kakamega Rainforest Tour Guide is community based organization located in Kakamega forest station in the southern part. The organization deal with conservation of Kakamega rainforest and educating local community and schools around the forest. Activities include, Tree nursery, bee Keeping, Biodiversity monitoring, Rehabilitation in open areas within the forest to increase forest cover, eco tourism
(Tour guiding, accommodation/ camping, Culture Bull fighting, Traditional dance and story telling). For volunteers looking for internship or volunteer opportunity we welcome them in our organization to volunteer with us either short term or long term. We offer forest nature walks to our visitors touring Kakamega forest in Isecheno forest station and in Rondo retreat center. The walks that we offer are Short walk 1-2 hours, Long walk 2-3 hours, sunrise/ sunset walk for visitors staying over night either in rondo retreat, Isecheno KEEP bandas, Forest rest house and in Isecheno blue shouldered guest house. Other forest walks are full day walk 5-6 or 7 hours, night walk 1-2 hours, Crying stone tour and village or market walks. Our guide are professional and naturalists located in Isecheno Forest station and in Rondo retreat centre.
