Western Circuit Tourism Association (WCTA) has a strategy which is to show case the tourism potential of western Kenya with the following activities:
• To hold tourism fairs such as Tourism Expos, cultural festivals etc to attract both international and domestic tourist.
• To work with tourism stakeholders to promote tourism products and service in the western Kenya.
• To hold training session for
people involved in the hospitality industries tour guide, hotelier and taxi operators. Also WCTA will focus on the following as part of their strategy:
Team spirit, this is a group of entrepreneur’s who want achieve the Association objectives. Maximum focus is on the clients, all our business are a source of livelihood and would all want to grow. Implementation of bilateral regional and international agreements in tourism, this is that to be in contact with the regional tourism Association and those in the US and European Markets. Develop programme for attracting tourism investments in the region and Sensitizes communities on conversation of tourism attractions site. In conclusion, WCTA has good information about the Market, what our customer would enjoy being exposed to recreational and historical sites, National Parks, cultural and heritage expositions. The price range is another factor which we have to consider, and that WCTA would work out the best price ranges that would suit the local and the international customers, also we have standard of the level of service that would retain our clients. WCTA also align with direct competitors products and relevant competent Association. We benchmark the real products offered in the Market, we also do a product completely different and innovative and this lead us with a need the capacity to justify it in front of the Market. We also go beyond the segmentation to the hyper segmentation so that our products can be more specialized and this has to be considered inflexibility and capacity of products.
