Our arrival at the VIP Hotel Madeya was at around midday and with the guidance from our host who accorded to us the warmest reception by serving us chilled VIP Special Juice to cool off after the drive from the lake shore city of Kisumu. Villa International Palace Hotel, Madeya in Siaya county Palace was our chosen facility for the Western Circuit Tourism Association Members familiarization trip.

Passing past the lush countryside of Kisumu Karateng’ we we arrived in Maseno where a stopover at the equator gave us a chance to be in two places at the same time! Maseno straddles the equator so some of us chose to be on the northern and while others chose to be on southern hemisphere. Anyway, what mattered to us most was the coriolis effect from the host guide. Some of us are still amazed to date...
