I missed it, but a day or so ago, was World giraffe day and these remarkable creatures deserve a day to them, as we all take it for granted that there are plenty gracing the plains, but although their numbers are apparently around 117, 000 across Africa, they are considered critically en-dangered.
They face threats of habitat loss, poaching and human wildlife conflict, so therefore we need to conserve and protect these amazing creatures, no wonder they have a day especially for them!

What is the accommodation like on safari?
Olive Trek Safaris, prefer the more traditional, with a little luxury and off the beaten track.
Sleeping tent, with a hot shower, some different amenities, depending on your choice of itineraries, of course a steaming cup of coffee or tea is delivered to your tent, before you set off on your early morning game drive.

I gather it is world wildlife day, here are some of the plains game that we all take for granted, but without them the wilderness would not be the same.
Each animal plays an important role in the environmental sustainability, with soil, plant life, insects, predators, etc. but most importantly, we support them and trust everyone will do the same.
