*NAMANGA HiLLS DAY HiKE ON 12/2/23*
Namanga Hills is about 167km from Nairobi the journey takes about 3hours leave the city and drive along Mombasa -Namanga road .
OL Donyo Orok Mountain which called in Maasai language also Namanga hill is situated in southern Kenya Next to Tanzania Border in Maili tisa a small town near the infamous Namanga border.
The Mountain has a stretched triangular shape almost like an arrow pointing north ,The short side faces the Tanzania Border and one corner is actually Crossing it ,The highest peak is 2,548 metres .
The hill got panomaric views from the summit Enkamuka peak which is the second highest peak of Ol Donyo Orok also known as the black Mountain due to the giant black rocks scattered across the hills

Castle forest lodge is about 141km from Nairobi the journey takes about two and half hours leave the city and drive along thika road into central kenya about one and half hours later turn right to the exit the Nairobi - Nyeri highway and join karatina - kutus road .Castle forest lodge located deep in the thick forest on the slopes to the south mount kenya,it is set in a natural surrounding of rainforest ,fresh water rivers with falls ,a fabulous view of the valley on one side of the lodge and impressive peaks of mount kenya .
The lodge was originally built by the british as a retreat for royalty around 1910
