Rurimeria Table Mountain Traverse
11th September
To the 3rd highest point to one of the best-hiking destinations in Kenya, to the ever impressive Aberdares. It is Rurimeria Hill (3860M). Starting from Geta Bush area at local guides and wildlife watchers station, we follow the electric fence and cross a stream with clear water and through a small of the rain forest as we start a steep ascent for 3.5km to the viewpoints

The long walk to the peak through the moorland to the peak reveal exciting views of Mt. Kipipiri and the Table Mountain of the Aberdares. From the peak the Le Satima valley invite. The trek is treacherous through the water bogs but the views are rewarding with vantage rocks to capture your imagination.

After summitting this point we add a twist to the trail and head to the magical 7 tarns spread accross the vast splendid Northern Aberdares moorland, we have our moment here connecting with self and nature before heading down to Bel canto Camp.

The trek takes 8-9 hrs meaning those who wish to take part need to prepare physically and psychologically. Join the home of mountain lovers on this exciting adventure journey, test your endurance, find new strength within you and push the limits.

Kieni Forest Treck and Waterfall

We end our july quest with a slow forest walk and magical waterfall chase. Located in the southern Aberdares forest, Kieni forest has some of the unbeaten trails through the dense indigenous forest that leads to 3 spectacular waterfalls.
The walk through tea plantation is exciting and calming at the same time; as you get to learn the history of the area from our informative guides.
The trail is rated moderate; 15 km long and takes about 5-6 hours

6.00am Depart Nairobi for Kieni expected to arrive by 8.00 am to start the hike at 8.15am
12.30pm Enjoy your packed lunch or snacks at the falls as you view the scenic surroundings
4.30 pm Leave Kieni for Nairobi expecting to arrive at 6.30pm

Only 50 Km from Nairobi, it is described by many as the best day trip from Kenya’s capital, this little known yet massive double cratered volcano is located very close to it’s well known sister, Mt. Longonot.
Mt. Suswa is one of the most spectacular mountains of the Rift Valley as it comprises a 12 km across double crater system, a vast network of obsidian caves and a variety of wild animals and plants.
Mt. Suswa is a magnificent extinct volcano in the Rift Valley. It is famed for the many caves on its E slopes. All are easy to access, none are too long or complex and no special gear or knowledge is required to explore these systems
