A bottle of water is sold by a hawker at 20 shillings. The same bottle of water is sold at a supermarket at 50 shillings. The same bottle of Water is sold at a bar at 100 shillings. The same bottle of water is sold in a good restaurant at 200 shillings. The same bottle of water is sold at the airport at 500 shillings. Same brand same product. The only thing that changes is the location. Sometimes you have to change your location to change your value. Dont belittle yourself and stay at a place where your not given the value for what you deserve. Have the courage and change your location because your valuable .

Firstly my condolences to the family who lost their loved ones at pirates beach.

While authorities are supposed to inspect all these vessels some of them are not seaworthy at all. They also get greedy to overload.

1. If you are a swimmer or not a life jacket is a MUST . It is one thing that is always ignored. Before you sail off each passenger MUST wear a life jacket provided by the boat operator.

2. Insist to get one and wear it. Don't fall for the lie that they have enough. Many a times they have far less than the numbers they carry.

3. To the authorities one detail that is always missing is the maximum number of passengers & weight a boat can carry. It is one detail that is always missed out , even a lift or an aircraft have a limit.

Finally if you are not even a swimmer then avoid that trip in this busy mad period.

Yes we want your business ,we want you to come to Mombasa and Kenya coast but your safety is paramount at all times.

NB: I must however applaud Diani boat operators. They are responsible lot and I salute them.
