15 DAYS COAST OF KENYA

DAY 1: NAIROBI-MOMBASA

Transfer from Nairobi to Mombasa by flight or train. Proceed to your accommodation on half board or all inclusive.

DAY 2: DIANI

The day is spent at leisure enjoying the beautiful beach with a variety of activities and restaurants to choose from. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 3: DIANI

Early breakfast then a tour of the Wasini Island for dolphins, snorkeling and diving for diving enthusiasts. Afterwards a visit to the community project in the Island and the slave caves, then drive back to Diani for dinner and overnight.

DAY 4: NORTH COAST

After breakfast drive across the ferry to Mombasa Island for city tour which takes you to Fort Jesus, Old town with lunch at the Mamba village (crocodile farm).Proceed for dinner and overnight at Kenya bay beach hotel.

DAY 5: NORTH COAST

Day spent enjoying the long stretch of the whitesands beach in the north coast with the optional visit to the Haller Park, Ngomongo village or Bombolulu handcraft workshop.Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 6: NORTH COAST

Spend the day relaxing or walking around the attraction site within the Northcoast until lunch time in the hotel.Dinner cruise at the famous tamarind dhow lasting 4 hrs with live music, Entertainment &drinks as you sail in the calm waters of the Indian Ocean, back to the hotel for overnight.

DAY 7: WATAMU

After breakfast drive past large sisal and coconut plantations to Watamu arriving in time for lunch.Relax till evening for dinner and overnight.

DAY 8: WATAMU

Spend your day at leisure with visit to area of interest along the Watamu cliff as you sample different taste of products by the locals.Dinner and overnight at the Villa Watamu resort.

DAY 9: MALINDI

After breakfast drive to Malindi with a visit to the Gedi ruins.Check in at the Eden rock hotel in time for lunch, afterwards relax or have an optional stroll of the nearby attractions including entertainment spots, restaurants etc.Overnight at Eden Rock hotel.

DAY 10 & 11: MALINDI

The days are spent with a tour of Malindi town including Vasco da Gama pillar, Malindi marine park, tourist market etc.Dinner and overnight at Eden Rock hotel.

*Guests have an option of flying out from malindi airport, or travel by road to Mombasa airport then connect their international flights.

DAY 12: LAMU

After breakfast transfer by shuttle bus to Mokowe jetty then cross by boat to Lamu arriving in the evening and check in the hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 13 &14: LAMU

The next two days are spent exploring the romantic, historic & secluded three islands of the Lamu archipelago.Enjoy the hospitality of the local people that makes you feel at home.(Accommodation at full board)

Tsavo East National Park is one of the oldest and largest parks in Kenya at 13,747 square kilometres. Situated in a semi-arid area previously known as the Taru Desert it opened in April 1948, and is located near the town of Voi in the Taita-Taveta County of the former Coast Province. The park is divided into east and west sections by the A109 road and a railway. Selous Safaris
Siwandu (formerly Selous Safari Camp) is located in the north of the Selous Game Reserve in Southern Tanzania. On arrival, a classic light swahili breakfast of traditional sweet breads&fresh fruits with arabic coffee or swahili tea is served down the famous shimoni caves,a community project supported by charlie claw’s.At 9.00am to catch the best tide option, board a converted authentic Lamu dhow & In comfort depart for Kisite National Marine Park for snorkeling&dolphin spotting – 90% + dolphin success rate! Kisite Marine is the best underwater park on the Kenyan coast. Mineral water, fruits and soda for the guest on the dhow are free of charge. For snorkelers, masks & snorkels, fins & full diving gear for diver is provided. Non swimming guests can enjoy the under water by using glass bottomed viewers from the accompanying comfort dinghy.

Dhow sail at some point during the day-traditionally rigged it’s a back-in-time’ experience. -Scuba diving for diving enthusiasts or a fun dive for first timers are on offer at an extra $45 for a fun or single dive and $80 for a double dive. Ngorongoro Safaris
The Ngorongoro Conservation Area was officially declared a UNESCO world heritage site in 1979. The area consists of various landscapes and includes dense mountain forests, woodlands, grasslands, lakes and swamps. Some of the most important archeological sites in the world, such as Oldupai Gorge and Laetoli can be found in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Archeologists found evidence showing that the area was occupied by hominids over 3 million years ago and thus claiming that it could be the birthplace of mankind.

And then of course there is the Ngorongoro Crater, the largest unbroken, inactive and unfilled caldera in the world. With a diameter of approximately 19 km (12 miles) and its majestic walls that rise just over 610 m (2000 feet), the crater floor covers an area of 260 sq km (100 sq miles). Over 30,000 animals including the rare black rhino call this unique place their home. Today over 40,000 Masais reside in the area making the Ngorongoro Conservation Area one of the only places in Tanzania where human habitation is allowed within a wildlife protected area. The conservation shares a boundary with the Serengeti National Park and one must drive through the conservation in order to get to the Serengeti

DAY 1: MOMBASA-TSAVO EAST

Depart from Mombasa at 8am and drive straight to Tsavo East arriving at 10am.Enter with game viewing till lunch time when you go for lunch in Voi town.After lunch start game viewing at 3pm till 6pm when you check out of the park to the Patterson’s camp for dinner and overnight.

DAY 2:TSAVO WEST-AMBOSELI

Early morning breakfast then you enter Tsavo west for game viewing to Mzima springs till 10am time to join the convoy for Amboseli National park.Check in at the Kibo camp for lunch.Relax then go for evening game viewing till 6pm time for dinner and overnight at the Kibo camp.

DAY 3:AMBOSELI

Early breakfast then go for morning game viewing upto midday time to come back for lunch.Relax then go for evening game viewing.Dinner and overnight at the Kibo camp.

DAY 4:AMBOSELI-MOMBASA

After breakfast make a visit to the Maasai village before you start the last game viewing as you leave the Amboseli National Park for Mombasa.Lunch enroute at Voi town followed by a 2hrs drive down to your hotel in Mombasa,arriving in the evening

3 DAYS TSAVO EAST-WEST (LAKE JIPE) (BUDGET CAMPING)

DAY 1: MOMBASA – TSAVO EAST

Depart from Mombasa at 8am and drive through Samburu plains for 2hours to Tsavo east national park. Entry through Bachuma gate with game viewing towards the camp for hot lunch. After lunch relax before you start evening game viewing at 4pm through to 6.30pm time to get back to the camp for dinner and overnight around a burning campfire.

DAY 2:TSAVO EAST-TSAVO WEST

Early morning game viewing then come back for full breakfast, after breakfast leave the park with game viewing towards Tsavo West national park entering through Maktau gate. Enter with game viewing as you drive through the park to L.Jipe for lunch in the Kenya wildlife bandas.

After lunch relax before you take an evening boat ride in the lake and another short game viewing around the lake with a beautiful sunset over Lake Jipe. Dinner and overnight at the bandas.

DAY 3:TSAVO WEST-MOMBASA

Early morning game viewing in the park bordering the Tanzania’s Mkomanzi national park for full breakfast. Drive for an extensive game viewing before you come for lunch. Leave the park with game viewing and drive to Mombasa, arriving early in the evening.





5 DAYS TSAVO EAST-WEST-AMBOSELI-NAIROBI

DAY 1: MOMBASA – TSAVO EAST

Depart from Mombasa at 8am and drive to Tsavo East National Park entering through Bachuma gate. Commence the game viewing while driving towards Voi wildlife lodge. Check in for lunch then relax till 4pm time for evening game viewing. Overnight and dinner at the lodge.

DAY 2: TSAVO EAST-TSAVO WEST

Early morning game viewing from 6.30am.Drive back to the lodge for full breakfast. After breakfast leave Tsavo East for Tsavo west. Enter through Tsavo river gate with game viewing towards Kilaguni Serena lodge for check in and lunch.Relax until 4pm time for evening game viewing which takes you to the Rhino Sanctuary. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

DAY 3: TSAVO WEST-AMBOSELI

Early morning game viewing to Mzima springs where you have a chance to see crocodiles, hippos and fish under a glass walled hut.Drive back for full breakfast then join the 10am convoy to Amboseli National Park. Early morning game viewing until 8.30am time to drive back to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast leave the park with game viewing as you drive to Nairobi. Lunch enroute, arriving in the evening.

Taita Hills Salt lick
Three Days Tsavo East & Salt Lick Safari
Day 1: Tsavo East

Pick up from the hotel at around 6.00 am driving along Mombasa- Nairobi highway for 100 kms and a stop over for coffee and short calls. Proceed for 6 kms to Tsavo East (The largest park in Kenya which covers an area of 13,747 km2) and arrive at Bachuma. Begin the game drive en route to Aruba dam (A water hole where animals come to drink water). Physical attractions include Tsavo River, Yatta Plateau which is 300 km2, Mdanda Rock, Lugard Falls, Voi seasonal River and Aruba dam. You have also a chance to see animals such as red elephants, rhinos, leopards, cheetah, and giraffes. Proceed with the game drive to Ashnil Aruba lodge where you will check in at around 1.00 pm. Have lunch and relax till 4.00 pm after which you will start another game drive till 6.30 pm then back to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Ashnil Aruba Lodge.

Day 2: Salt Lick

Wake up at around 5.30 am, have a cup of coffee and start an early morning game drive before the main breakfast. This time you have a chance of seeing the big cats of Tsavo. Back to the lodge for the main breakfast at around 8.30 am followed by the last game drive and depart to Taita Hills salt lick driving through a distance of 80 kms. Arrive early afternoon, check in at Taita Hills Game Lodge where you will have your lunch. Depart at around 2.30 pm to Sarova Salt Lick where you will have a chance to see animals at the water hole, while at Sarova Salt Lick Lodge.

Proceed for another game drive at 4.00 pm until 6.30 pm. Taita Hills wild life sanctuary was founded by the Hilton early seventies. It covers an area of 24,000 Ha. Physical attractions include th***y bushes, acacia forests, arid and savannah, swamp and Taita hills among others. Animals found here include elephants, lions, cheetah, zebras, giraffes, and many different types of birds such as ostriches, h***y bills, guinea fowls, kingfishers and weaver birds. Dinner and overnight at Sarova Salt lick lodge.

Day 3: Salt Lick – Mombasa / Diani
Wake up at around 5.30 am, have a cup of coffee and start an early morning game drive before the main breakfast. This time you have a chance of seeing the big cats of Taita Hills. Back to the lodge for the main breakfast at around 8.30 am followed by the last game drive and lunch at Voi town. Drive back to your hotel.
