Day 3: A Grand Finale in the Maasai Mara – The Symphony of the Wild
The final day dawned with promises of greater wonders. After a delightful breakfast, we set out on our expedition, each turn revealing new marvels. Lions, hyenas, warthogs, turtles, and hippos graced us with their presence, each encounter a breathless wonder.
At the legendary Mara River, the echoes of the great migration stirred our souls, even if not in full swing. Further into the Mara, at the Kenya-Tanzania border, nature’s vastness blurred horizons and inspired awe.
Returning to the lodge, a sumptuous lunch awaited. The afternoon was spent enjoying lodge amenities and mingling with fellow travelers. Evening brought another feast, Maasai dances, and the camaraderie of newfound friends.
Day of Departure – Farewell to the Mara
Our final dawn in the Mara was bittersweet. A sumptuous breakfast by the River Talek marked our last moments at the lodge. Leaving the sanctuary behind, we visited a Maasai homestead, where warmth and hospitality welcomed us. We immersed ourselves in Maasai culture, learning ancient fire-making and Manyatta construction techniques, gaining appreciation for their resilience and connection to the land.
As we bid farewell to the Maasai and the sweeping vistas of the Mara, we carried not just photographs but a deeper understanding of humanity and nature’s interconnectedness. With the dust of the Mara on our boots and the echoes of Maasai songs in our ears, we departed, knowing the spirit of the Maasai Mara would forever call us back.

"Day 2: Into the Heart of the Maasai Mara – A Dance with the Wild
As dawn painted the sky, we departed from the tranquil shores of Lake Naivasha, journeying towards the legendary Maasai Mara. After a hearty breakfast, we bid adieu to Naivasha Simba Lodge. The road to the Mara unfolded like a masterpiece, each vista more stunning than the last.
In Narok town, we immersed ourselves in the vibrant Maasai culture, sharing stories and refreshing ourselves before continuing to the Mara Simba Lodge. Post-lunch, our game drive began, a thrilling two-hour journey into the wilderness. Graceful giraffes, majestic elephants, and other iconic animals greeted us, each sighting a testament to the Mara’s raw beauty.
As night fell, we returned to the lodge, exhilarated yet weary. Dinner was a culinary delight, accompanied by the rhythmic beats of Maasai dances and serenades from a lone guitarist. We retired with memories of the day etched in our hearts, ready for more adventures."

Greetings, fellow wanderers!
Step into the heart of Kenya’s wild beauty with Agra Tours and Travels Limited, as we whisk you away on an unforgettable three-day safari through the magical Maasai Mara. From the vibrant pulse of Nairobi to the serene expanses of the savannah, every moment of our adventure was a symphony of discovery, delight, and a touch of humor.

"Day 1: Nairobi to Naivasha – A Prelude to Adventure
Our journey began as the sun's first rays kissed Nairobi’s skyline. With hearts brimming with excitement, we embarked on our adventure at 9 am, our trusty Land cruiser ready to conquer the wild. The drive along the Mai Mahiu Road revealed a panorama of breathtaking landscapes, with the Rift Valley painting a canvas of unparalleled beauty.
A stop at the Escarpment Viewpoint felt like stepping onto nature’s balcony. The Rift Valley sprawled below, and Mount Longonot stood majestically in the distance, perfect for a dramatic selfie. After a brief pause at Mai Mahiu Center, where the aroma of freshly brewed coffee greeted us, we continued our journey to Naivasha.
Arriving at the Naivasha Simba Lodge was like finding an oasis. Nestled amidst lush greenery and overlooking the shimmering Lake Naivasha, this sanctuary offered luxury and tranquility. Post-lunch, our nautical adventure on Lake Naivasha began. We glided past hippos, crocodiles, and a myriad of birds, setting the stage for our safari saga.
On Crescent Island, we embarked on a 4.5KM hike amidst gazelles, ostriches, and other creatures, a reminder of nature’s wonders. The day concluded with a royal feast at the lodge, our hearts and bellies full, eagerly awaiting the marvels of the Maasai Mara."

Have you done a Safari In Kenya? Have you been out in the wild for a gate away! Make plans to visit the wild and appreciate our wild animals and get to know more about their ecosystem.

Here are some facts about giraffes; DID YOU KNOW?

1) Giraffes are found in the dry savannahs of Africa, where they roam among the open plains and woodlands.

2) Well known for their long necks, these gentle giants are the world’s tallest living land animals. An adult male can grow to around 5.5m – that’s taller than three adult humans!
3) A giraffe’s height helps them keep a look out for predators, such as lions and hyenas. Their excellent eyesight allows them to spot hungry beasts from far away, too.

4) Herbivores, giraffes only eat plants. Their favourite grub is the acacia tree, and they use their long necks to reach the leaves and buds in the treetops. Their long tongues (which grow to a whopping 53cm!) also help them pull down leaves growing way up high.
5) And boy do these guys have an appetite! They spend most of their time eating, and can guzzle up to 45kg of leaves and twigs a day!
6) Whilst they may eat a lot, giraffes don’t drink much water. This is because they get most of their water from their leafy meals, and only need to drink once every few days.

7) Giraffes are very social animals and roam around in groups. These groups, called towers, typically have around 15 members led by an adult male. The other members are females and young males.

8) To see who is stronger, males (called bulls) fight by butting their long necks and heads. This is known as “necking“. These fights aren’t usually dangerous, and end when one bull admits defeat and walks away.
9) Female giraffes give birth standing up. The result? Newborns are welcomed to the world with a 1.5m drop to the ground! Ouch! But these infants are quick to get on their feet – within 30 minutes they are standing, and only hours later they're able to run with their mothers.

10) In the wild these beautiful creatures live for around 25 years. In captivity they live longer, and have been known to reach 40 years old.
