Amboseli National Park, formerly Maasai Amboseli Game Reserve, is in Kajiado County, Kenya. The park is 39,206 hectares (392 km2; 151 sq mi)[1] in size at the core of an 8,000 km2 (3,100 sq mi) ecosystem that spreads across the Kenya-Tanzania border. The local people are mainly Maasai, but people from other parts of the country have settled there attracted by the successful tourist-driven economy and intensive agriculture along the system of swamps that makes this low-rainfall area, one of the best wildlife-viewing experiences in the world with 400 species of birds including water birds like pelicans, kingfishers, crakes, hamerkop and 47 raptor species.
ITINERARY
5.40 a.m. Pick up location behind international life house
6:00 a.m. Departure from Nairobi to Amboseli National Park.
9:00 a.m. Arrival at Amboseli National Park for a full day Game Drive.
12:30 a.m. -2:00 p.m. Lunch at AA Lodge Amboseli
2:00 4:00 p.m. Appreciating the beauty, at the observation point and wildlife entertainment.
4:00 - 5:00 p.m. Indulge to a proper game drive in search of big 5 we missed, which you are certain of seeing as we flock off the park.
5:00pm Departure back from Amboseli to Nairobi.
