I have been enjoying photographing our daily visitors to our bird bath. I set up my camera on a tripod with a remote shutter. It's a great way to spend time in the morning while sipping a cup of coffee.

I also set my camera up under one of our gray-headed social weaver nests to capture these little cuties at work building their nests.

Featured is a White bellied canary, a blue capped cordon bleu, a black cheaked waxbill, and a purple grenadier.

Meet Samuel, one of our Askaris at Amboseli Bush Camp. He leads bush walks, keeps us informed about nearby elephants, and is exceptionally down to earth. We are delighted to have him as part of our team. We recently visited to congratulate him on the newest addition to his family. It is a joy to form connections and build relationships with such amazing individuals.

Aileen is getting the bathroom mirror ready to get mounted. The fundis (local craftsman) got a kick out of the fact that we wanted the frame to keep its funky unpainted look.

Yesterday was staff contract signing day. We have 12 wonderful staff. The maasai do the askari work as they know the bush the best. They offer the best guidance when elephants are nearby.

We love our new home in the bush. It's almost finished. Its the perfect place to run the camp from.
