Finding beauty in the raindrops …….

As curators of travel experiences in East Africa, we often get asked - will the rain hamper our game viewing?
Water is life for all species and rain brings about such a transformation of land.
As the rivers start to fill up, new grass shoots grow, the slowly turn .
Rainbows are in abundance and there is a freshness in the air that’s very uplifting.

All animals rely very heavily on water for survival and thus these periods of rain are extremely important for every form of life out here.

And nature has made it possible for all the species to adapt to the water.

I learnt from one of our guides that rains masks scents so the prey cannot sense the predators and hence the latter has more success in its hunt.😇

Also, the rain washes away the territories. So after the rain, all territorial animals have to re-establish their boundaries so movement is very prolific.

Last fortnight has brought us a lot of rain yet our safari enthusiasts have had unique experiences.
Don’t wait for the sun to kiss you, the raindrops are invigorating too.
