Let's explore Homabay County.

With good rapport with hotels, business owners, Water bus crew at Mbita, Rusinga, Mfangano and Takawiri Island we did a trip to the three Islands at 7500 only.

The trip started with hype from Nairobi, the rest of the team was anticipating a good time and most were from central, they only use two hours to shags. By the time we were getting to Narok, they were already asking me Tutafika Saa ngapi. They were tired, they were asking me why I did not give them a flight option while renegade air is taking guys to Homabay at 7500 only.

When Sgr gets to Kisumu, it will be a big boost to Western Kenya's hospitality industry and tourism by reducing the number of hours you will spend by road.

The first day we visited Tom Mboya Mausoleum at Rusinga Island, one of his brothers called Paul Mboya, eloquent and a good storyteller will make you realise how we lost a great leader at an early age, his Mausoleum is bullet shaped and his trophies, briefcase, fly whisk and presents from different parts of the world are neatly displayed.

When you visit Rusinga Island, start with Tom Mboya Mausoleum, then head to Rusinga Lodge, A five-star rated resort with an airstrip. The Ambience is to die for. Then head to White stone resort, my all-time, favourite, the owner of the resort might be the guy serving you, but despite being classy with a nice beachfront the prices are also friendly.

Later at night, like always we visited Teddy at Club Oxygen, residents of Mbita named me Ja Tour, every time they see me they know that I have come with the business. Teddy was happy to see me and like always they say every time you visit a new place, drink heavily with the locals.

We left when the DJ was playing "Tomorrow is another day"Because our tomorrow was to start early. We had a water bus to catch, to Takawiri Island.

Note.

Rusinga Island Is the most Visited Island of the three because it's accessible by road.

Have I told you how vienyeji are eating life at Irecheya, have I told you that the famous, one and only Ango Lipua Lipua, Jethro, Boloyeng, Okutoto, and Omukofu no longer go to Mama Omina to irrigate their throats, this is after the local Busaa point, Mit Bilie decided to bring strippers in the village, all the returns from gold mining ends up at Mit Bilie.A luo name meaning "Onja ni Tamu" Now, I traveled to Irecheya with my uncle, who the Irecheya village decided to name IAMTOM after how he greeted people and introduced himself. With English of the nose, he says hi I am Tom as he shakes hands with you, being British, that's their norm but the likes of Geoffrey and Ango Lipua Lipua heard IAMTOM and that's how the name became. The last time I am Tom was in the village, he ate quails prepared by shosh, without caring if he was with his in-laws, he licked his fingers and said he never knew young ones of a hen are so delicious. Later at night, he almost run away after the Nyawawa wave hit Irecheya and all homesteads got outside to chase Evil spirits. Nyawawa starts like a wave, you hear it coming from the east, everyone gets out of the compound and hits something that will produce sound to chase the evil spirits to the direction of the lake, it's believed if you don't chase the spirits, they will land with a calamity of misfortunes in your home. Ango Lipua Lipua frightened I am Tom with how he was hitting two metallic cooking pots, his coat with two Slits dancing to the rhythm of his moves, the other side of the homestead was Nyalwanda oh she was running all over the compound with Lejo Maria moves. Jumping up and down hitting her drum and the words Riswa, Opak Ruoth came from her chants. This was too much for a mzungu who has never been to Africa. We arrived safely, after burying uncle Steve who left without casting his vote for baba, it was time to wash away the tears, he had left us abruptly and that's when Ango Lipua Lipua told us of how they now have strippers
