It borders two Communities of Koguta and Kwabai. Visible enough is River kuja cutting across the nguku - ondati landscape in formerly known Nyanza Provinces.

So magical to a small village full of potential, fresh air and water and cool environments.

Gumbo Ohinya K'Abuya from Marera Village in Homa Bay County was the first African man to do a DNA test for his children in 1727.

He came home one evening from a journey with some meat , asked his wife to roast it BUT confided in her that the meat was given by a magician and only his REAL children would survive after eating it .

After preparing the meat , his wife served him but was heard shouting to the kids:
🗣️ _"Ocholla ! Ayugi ! Kwere!! kik ayud ng'ama oriethre ni bilo ring wuonu no - sud uru mabooor ... chamuru ring'ono mana kudwa thou nyithinda!!"_

THIMLICH OHINGA
This is a cultural site in Migori county.
The carbon data method depicts that the structure dates back to the 15th century.

The structures were constructed to provide security against enemies.

This is one of the great historic sites in Nyanza province.
Such architectural design is linked to similar structures in Zimbabwe depicting the possibility of migration of inhabitants from Zimbabwe.

However, historians posits that the place was initially occupied by Bantu speaking people and the structures were inherited by the Luo of Kenya.

"When a female squirrel finds another baby squirrel, she gives him food and makes sure that he is an orphan and has no mother or father, and after 3 days of investigation and actually making sure that he is without family, she takes him gently and feeds him and makes him familiar with living with her and her young as if he was one of her children.
The female squirrel is unique in receiving her husband when he returns with food with kisses and wooing him in order to ease the fatigue of bringing food to her and her young.
The male squirrel always expresses his love for his female by giving her the most beautiful roses and the largest walnuts and almonds...

How dare we forget Catherine Ndereba?

Catherine was the second Kenyan woman, after Pauline Konga, to win a medal at the Olympics.

Catherine was the first Kenyan woman to win a gold medal at the world championships.

Catherine is the first Kenyan woman to win a marathon medal at the Olympics.

In 2001, Catherine broke the marathon world record in Chicago. She averaged 5:17 per mile, leading the Independent on Sunday to hail her performance as 'a staggering feat of speed endurance.'

The newspaper went on to describe Catherine’s run as 'the greatest athletic performance of all time by a woman.'

In 2008, the Chicago Tribune ended the marathon GOAT debate by touting Catherine as the greatest woman marathoner of all time.

Catherine hails from Nyeri, not far from Bishop Gatimu Ngandu Girls. Her signature move, every time she crossed the finish line, was to drop to her knees and lift her hands in prayer.

In terms of volume, Lake Victoria is the world's ninth-largest continental lake, containing about 2,424 km3 (1.965×109 acre⋅ft) of water. Lake Victoria occupies a shallow depression in Africa. The lake has an average depth of 40 m (130 ft) and a maximum depth of 80–81 m (262–266 ft).

Its catchment area covers 169,858 km2 (65,583 sq mi).The lake has a shoreline of 7,142 km (4,438 mi) when digitized at the 1:25,000 level, with islands constituting 3.7% of this length.

This is the famous Dho Goye bridge in Usenge, Bondo. It's where R. Yala pours it's water into Lake Victoria. A beautiful scene.

The bridge connects Majimbo/Osieko Island to Usenge town and the rest of Siaya County.

The bridge is also a critical access point to several important institutions including Got Agulu Sub County Hospital, Nyayo Polytechnic, and Siungu beaches which offer recreational activities like boat riding competition.
