Compost Toilet and Shower Out-house

Water is highly precious here in Kilifi so trying to do a little for the environment by being eco. Our toilet is a long drop.
•
But How do you use a compost loo?
•
Just cover with wood-chip after you spend a penny or leave a present…This keeps the smells at bay and breaks everything down into lovely compost for the trees!
•
We also encourage washing with eco soap and provide buckets to catch the run-off water from the shower. Which can then be used in the garden on our hardier plants as we are always and forever waiting for more RAIN!

Behind every leafy green plant is a good book… I love this corner especially in the evening light, it’s a perfect and if you haven’t brought a book with you why not borrow one from our ‘Biblioteque’. Our on-site Library in a converted shipping container located in the car park, a stones throw from Little Bali Bofa. No excuse there’s plenty to read.
