For all of the queens out there, **insert yourself here **

I’m casually swooning over some of the accomodation on our India Textile Tour later this year. We’ll stay in this gorgeous heritage hotel whilst in Jaipur, one of the most beautiful in Rajasthan and originally built as a Palace in 1928 🕌🪷

Can you just imagine hanging out here… wandering the acres of beautiful gardens after a day out shopping in Jaipur, with delicious curry in the belly, a yoga class or two? I can 😄🌸🇮🇳

In early 2024 I made a vision board of what I wanted from my 365 days rotating around the 🌞 – the crux of it was South America, doing pottery, visiting traditional textile artisans, eating good food, enjoying flowers and having fun along the way (slide 2). Slide 1 are a few of the photos I took from actual adventures I ended up taking through Colombia, Peru and Greece. I find vision boards such a potent way to bring the things you want into your life, 2024 sure did provide more amazing experiences than I could ever have imagined when gluing all of those little cutouts onto a piece of cardboard.

From swimming in the beautiful waters of Hawaii, to 3 months travelling through the incredible Colombia and Peru exploring textiles, mountains, rivers and ancient architecture, to getting stuck in New York due to a cyclone, to lazing on the beaches in Greece, visiting family in the Middle East to then journeying home briefly via India where I had one very delightful Ayurvedic massage, Masala dosa and a chai, plus I’ve planned some amazing trips for others through Japan, Spain and Indonesia! It’s been an incredible year and I am so grateful.

We now have another 365 days to envision and bring into our lives adventures we might like to take.

So tell me, where are you dreaming of journeying in 2025? I’d love to chat and help you piece your incredible vision together 🌎🌸

For 2025, I’m envisioning bringing my first ever group journey to India to life. See the link in my bio for more details 🇮🇳🪷

Let’s make 2025 an awesome one!

Love,

Ron x

Shades of blue from a beautiful week in Lefkada 💙🐟 Greece has to be up there with one of the most relaxing places on the planet! I loved this island so much - quiet but busy, incredibly friendly locals, amazing swimming spots, windsurfing and the food, just wow.

An amazing workshop learning all about the different kinds of soils in the Santander region, their mineral makeup and how they can be used as paint to make amazing artworks. Such a fun, creative way to spend a few hours in Barichara 🥰

Barichara you are so charming! A picturesque town filled with cobblestone streets, colorful colonial architecture, and breathtaking views of the Andes.

Time is being spent strolling through the historic center, visiting the local Artisians, and enjoying the local cuisine (arepas, anyone?). This quaint little town is one of those ones that will have you stay longer than you expected!

Something I love doing on holidays is engaging with local artisans. It provides opportunity to gain deeper understanding of the culture and traditions of where I am, as often there are historical, social and cultural elements incorporated into their crafts.

It’s also awesome as it supports local communities, their economy and the preservation of their craft. Most artisans use locally sourced materials which also helps with environmental sustainability, something that is important in a world where most things are mass produced.

This week I had the pleasure of visiting, Laureano, a local artisan, in Raquira. Laureano has been a ceramicist for over 40 years. We spent hours together learning about his work, his processes, how to filter clay and learning where it comes from - right in his home town in Raquira!

Thanks for a wonderful day Laureano ✨🏺

Green, green and more green up in the clouds of Minca, Colombia. A quiet village surrounded by lush rivers, waterfalls, rainforest, hummingbirds, cacao and coffee plantations, mangos and avocados to eat off the ground and warm people.

I’m taking it slow, spending about a week in each place, choosing one thing to do each day and that being enough. Today is was a small hike to this waterfall and now laying around at home watching the heavens open.

Travel doesnt need to be jam packed to be fulfilling and nourishing, in fact I find that is when you hear people saying they need a holiday after a holiday! In my opinion, less is more on the road (insert giant big exhale).

I’d love to know, what’s your ideal pace when you have your Dora the explorer hat (or Diego) on? 🐍🌿🥑🐛🦜🥭

What a place to land and be held on arrival into Colombia - the food, the silence amidst the noise of nature, the kind hearts and smiles, the massage. It was a beautiful week spent in the jungle at .madre , an eco tourism project in the beautiful Santa Marta region in the north of Colombia. A place to rest your bones - truly a big, giant exhale ✨🌱

What’s your travel style?

The reason why I ask is that this is such an important piece of information for a travel advisor.

Do you like adventure and lots of things to do all day? Or do you like a slow pace where you can focus on and immerse yourself in one thing? Do you like luxury accommodations or are you willing to prioritize and spend on other aspects of the trip?

I, for example, am the type of traveler who likes travelling slow, with few plans and likes comfortable eco boutique accommodation with healthy food options close by. I love a holiday that allows me to be still and comfortable, take care and recharge myself and immerse myself in local culture.

As you think about what you truly want your travels to be like this year, take a minute to make a list of what’s truly important to you when you travel.

This will help you to get clear about which trips you want to prioritise this year, and which ones maybe aren’t as important or you may not truly want on your travel wish list at all.

And this also helps me as I collaborate with you to make sure your travels are ticking the boxes!

Just off the coast of Bali, a 2 hour ferry ride (i recommend flying) is Lombok and it’s spectacular! This natural paradise is definitely worth a trip to experience something different than Bali. The island has some idyllic spots you won’t want to miss, including Kuta (and surrounds), Sengiggi and the famous Mt Rinjani! If you are a lover of the sea, surfing, delicious food, waterfalls, yoga and relaxing into a slower pace, i highly recommend Lombok. Sit back and relax and enjoy amazing views just like this one (i've sat here myself and can highly recommend)!
