The people who did not make it to Vasha, decided to rally in the park. We advise all visitors to adhere to the park rules. Give the animals space, switch off your engines during a sighting, don't go off-road, and most importantly, stay inside your vehicles for your own safety.
Nairobi Park wishes you and your loved ones a blessed Easter weekend.

Interesting way of feeding! A giraffe's neck is too short to reach the ground. As a result, it has to awkwardly spread its front legs or kneel to reach the ground for a drink of water or feed.

Cheetahs are adapted for daytime hunting, using their unmatched speed and keen eyesight. They hunt during the day to avoid competition with nocturnal predators.

Beautiful morning sighting of this lion pride. They were captured strolling leisurely in their territory. It really is good to be on top of the food chain.

Aided by community members, KWS rescued a four months old cheetah cub that was found abandoned by the mother in Sankuri ward of Garissa county.
The cub was cared for by a team in Garissa KWS station in liason with our veterinary professionals who are provided it with round the clock attention, including specialized milk formula that is good nutrition in a safe environment.
Today, the cub was well received at Nairobi Animal Orphanage Nursery for specialized care. Veterinary assessments indicate he is doing well.
We appreciate the local community at Sankuri Sub County for rescuing the cub. Special recognition goes to Mahat Yussuf Elmi for driving the animal all the way from Mbalambala to KWS Garissa station.
The cub has been named Chabel, the somali name for cheetah knows honour of the local community for their support and promotion of human wildlife coexistence.
The public is encouraged to support his conservation by paying a visit to the Nairobi Animal Orphanage.
