Some of our guest's favourite memories are from their time with us in our private camp at Suyian Conservancy. Not only do they get to experience an authentic camp experience, watch wild dogs, kayak in the river and go on bush walks, but they also learn how the bees are helping protect the trees from elephants!
World Bee Day is a day to spread awareness of the significance of bees and other pollinators for our survival.
3 things you can do to help.
- Plant native flowers in your garden and plan for something to be blooming each season.
- Companion Plant rather than using pesticides - plant natural repellents such as garlic and basil.

A pangolin's tongue can be longer than its body.
The word 'pangolin' is Malay for roller – the action a pangolin takes in self-defense;
The pangolin is the only mammal in the world to be covered from head to toe in keratin scales (the same as human finger nails).
They are able to close their noses and ears to keep ants out when they’re eating.
Pangolin 'pups' ride on their mothers’ tails until they’re weaned at about three months.
Over the past decade, over a million pangolins have been illegally taken from the wild to feed demand in China and Vietnam.
