Tobs was Director of the Board of Kenya's Home of Golf: Muthaiga Golf Club (2009 - 2013), the founder/ first Chairman of the Kenya Golf Marketing Alliance (1997-2010), the first Chairman of the Kenya Chapter of IAGTO ( 1997 – 2010), Member of the Executive Committee of Skal Nairobi (2013). and Member of the Executive Committee of KATO ( 1992 – 1994) .

Tobs was instrumental in Kenya winning IAGTO’s Award for the Best Undiscovered Golf Destination of the year 2009 and a proud winner as Kenya's Best Inbound Golf Tour Operator 2015, 2016 and 2017 during the Golf Awards Ceremony in Portugal. For the year 2018, Tobs Kenya Golf Safaris, Travel & Events is nominated, as the best Golf Tour Operator in Africa. Tobs Golf Events organized many golf events, including the IAGTO Steering Committee meeting which was "the most spectacular Steering Committee event ever staged" as per IAGTO's Chief Executive Mr. Peter Walton. Tobs hosted the KLM Kenya Open in March 2009, 2010 and 2011, the Kenya Airways Invitational in November 2009 and March 2011, and more recently the prestigious Mercedes Trophy in 2014 and 2015. Orange Telkom Club Nights were organized at Muthaiga Golf Club and at Royal Nairobi Golf Club.

Celebrating its 21 years anniversary, Tobs organized the 1st Kenya Golf Trophy in 2012, which tournament became Kenya’s largest corporate amateur golf event with more than US$ 40.000 worth of prizes and more than 50 sponsors.

Thanks to its success, the Kenya Golf Trophy has become an annual event and grown to become Africa's largest corporate amateur golf tournament with Etihad Airways as the Official Airline, Nation Media Group as its media sponsor, Mercedes, Heineken, NAS Cuisine (Servair), Crown Paints, Nestle, Red Bull, Kempinski, Fairmont Hotels, BUPA, JCB and Kenya Tourist Board amongst many other well-known international brands, while supporting the Junior Golf Foundation.

For the last 3 decades Tobs travelled and played golf all over the world, building up a network of friends in the industry, which is the sound and strong basis for our Golf Travel Division. Tobs Kenya Golf Safaris, Travel & Events and The IAGTO Golf Tour Operators formed a bond of trust, of reliability and quality, which is strengthened at least once a year, when we all meet at the IGTM -The International Golf Travel Market (IGTM). In the last 9 years Tobs Golf Travel organized Golf Holidays to Abu Dhabi, Argentina, Australia, Canada, China, Colombia, Dubai, India, Thailand, Vietnam, Jamaica, France, Ireland, Italy, Scotland, South Africa, Spain, Portugal and to the USA. Of course the big golf tournaments are part of the itineraries and combining playing golf and watching top golf professionals of the world play at the Masters, Ryder Cup, British Open, Race to Dubai, Dubai Desert Classic or TPC Sawgrass. Half of these trips are in groups, while the other half are on tailor-made basis.
