4 days Mt Kenya trekking program.
Up Sirimoni and down Chogoria.

Day 1. Nairobi- Sirimon gate to Old Moses camp 3300m.
Walking distance: 9km.
Time: 3-4 hrs.

Leave the hotel at around 8.00am. and you drive from Nairobi to Nanyuki (3.5 hrs) where you will pick the other team of cook and porters and drive for 1 hour to Sirimon Park gate 2,650 m. where the trekking start. After clearing with the park authority, we will start the hike through the forest accompanied by the guides, cook and porters to Old Moses camp 3,300 m. arriving in the afternoon.

Day 2. Old Moses to Shipton camp 4200m.
Walking distance: 14 km.
Time: 6-7 hrs.

After breakfast, hike through the moorland viewing high attitude flowers, animals and birds species up the Mackinders valley to Shipton camp 4,200 m. at the bottom of the peaks. Arrive in the afternoon for the resting, dinner and overnight.

Day 3. Shipton camp- Lenana to the Bandas camp 2,950m.
Walking distance: 26 km.
Time: 12-15 hrs walk.
After early morning Tea, you start the climb up to the summit where you walk on the loose scree for 3 hrs to climb up to Lenana Peak 4,985 m. You reach the top during sunrise for the best views and taking pictures. After sunrise, you descend down to meet the team on the way to Mintos camp 4,200m where you stop for breakfast. After breakfast, you continue with the hike down on Chogoria route viewing the fascinating Gorges valley to Mt Kenya Bandas for hot shower, dinner and overnight.

Day 4. After breakfast, you will meet with the crews for appreciation session and farewell, then take 2 hrs. walk through the forest to meet the transport vehicle through the forest to Chogoria village and then drive back to Nairobi.
