The holidays are here with us again good people. Tell you what, you and 5 of your buddies or family can have a great time down at the coastal region at very affordable rates. We at Safari Zangu understand that times are hard but again, memories made last a lifetime.

Located along the coastal line in Malindi this place is worth every dime. These 2 bedroom apartments can accommodate 4 - 6 people (sleeping arrangements are adjusted to cater for the 5th and 6th occupants) on a self catering basis.

For two nights between 1st November and 14th December 2023 the charges per person start from Ksh 7,500 (travelling by bus) and Ksh 9,500 (using the SGR option). This cost is inclusive accommodation and transfers to and from the beach front apartments. For a single night the charges per person are Ksh 5,500 and Ksh 7,500 respectively.

During the festivities season however, two nights between December the 15th and 2nd January 2024 will cost you Ksh 10,500 (travelling by bus) and Ksh 12,500 (using the SGR option) per person.This cost includes accommodation and transfers to and from the beach front apartments. For a single night during this period will cost you 7,500 and Ksh 9,500 respectively.

During your two day visit, you can plan to visit Gede Ruins, a snack pack, Kipepeo butterfly sanctuary (All in one location) and Watamu white sandy beaches on day one. Day 2 tour Malindi museum, the house of Columns, the Portuguese Chapel and Vasco da gama Pillar. Also don't forget to visit Malindi Pier. On your 1 day tour, Malindi town visit that includes all the above can be done from 3 pm to 7 pm on the day you arrive. On either options dinner at a Swahili Dishes joint is recommended.

Please take the following into consideration.
1. Prior booking is advisable. This can only be done by making a deposit of 50%. Please NOTE that the apartments availability depends on a calendar booking schedule. Don't make plans and pay without confirmation of availability.
2. Self Catering Basis means that you make the food you desire to eat and at any point during your stay. Utensils and a good working cooking apparatus are provided. Naivas and a food market are within close proximity for all your shopping needs. A chef is however available on request and the service fee depends with the season.
3. A housekeeper is available during the day to assist and ensure you are comfortable during your stay.
4. Finally a little secret. The closer in number y'all are to 6 or 12 the cheaper the stay will be. Strength in numbers they said.

Contacts for reliable Tuk Tuk riders, taxi drivers and care hire services will be shared with you for easy mobility. We have been here and had a taste of this MagicalKenya experience.

Itinerary
Meet up Moi Primary at 5:30am and leave at 5:45am. Please keep time the drive to Shamata Gate is 3 hours long.
9:30am Start ascend at the Twin peaks.
11:30 am stopover at the Dragon's Teeth. Amazing scenery to take in and great Kodak moments.
1:30 pm Arrive at Satima Peak which stands at 4,001 mtrs. (The 3rd highest peak in Kenya)
2pm start the descend.
5:00pm Head back to Nairobi with a short stop over for lunch or snacks if time allows (Self sponsored)

What to bring
1.Comfortable walking boots or sneakers.
2. Drinking water for the hike. Recommended. 2-2.5L
3. Packed lunch. You will only be provided with fruits and glucose.
4. Warm clothing is advised as the summit gets cold. A rain coat/Poncho and pair of gloves.
Don't carry extra baggage that will only drag you behind.
