Such a treat to have my oldest friends to stay.They summited our local Munro, arrived back at our home victorious a day early and delved into the famous Mitumba market in Nanyuki. We had an amazing time on safari with hundreds of elephants and herds of giraffe on parade, margaritas on top of a huge Rocky outcrop with eagles soaring beneath us and animals everywhere. Turkana expeditions are truly special, unique, rugged, remote and taking you to the end of the world. North Kenya is suffering from a terrible drought right now but as soon as things ease off after the rain later this year we hope to run a couple of expeditions to Lake Turkana and the Chalbi desert again. Only for the right people who will understand the beauty in this harsh landscape and love seeing the incredible people living amongst it.

Wild dogs are amazing to encounter, not just because of how rare they are but because they are incredible operators. Working as a pack, they are the most effective hunters, killing machines one minute, whining, greeting, rolling on their backs with paws in the air the next. I was lucky to spend 10 years living amongst them, and learning about their behaviour. Contact us for details on how and when is best to see them.
