Today we went on an adventure for some delicious food and surprisingly met a new friend. ❤️ We hiked 3 km up into the mountains, where my daughter met a beautiful Appalossa. She has a way with connecting with horses and this one decided to go on a short walk with her. Upon arrival at the restaurant, we found a tiny, and well preserved, church dating back to 1729. I don’t know why, but I love churches and learning about their history. Now our friends told as about this restaurant,nestled in the mountains, and let me tell you the 3 km hike, uphill, was soooo worth it!
Everything on the menu looked so delicious so we decided on:
🍝pasta with local cheese accompanied with Fanta 😆 and 🍲slowed cooked deer with gnocchi (a mixture of Italian gnocchi and German/Austrian dumpling called canederli) accompanied with a glass of local Trentino wine😋 As for dessert, we split(😆 not really) a wild blueberry mountain cake and a furtaies (you may be familiar with funnel cake, but it originated here in the Italian Dolomiti before it was Italy and was part of Austria) with red bilberry jam from the surrounding mountains.
After our meal we hiked 3 km back down to the town of Moena with full bellies and smiling faces. Yes, I was on holidays, but I am always looking for authentic places to experience and recommend to my clients. Would you hike 3 km for a great meal and beautiful views?

How do you claim Value Added Tax (VAT)?

Here are a few quick tips:
🌍 Check to make sure the country you are visiting offers a VAT refund and if it does what is the percentage and how much must you spend?
🌍 Next bring your passport, or a copy of it, with you on your shopping trip.
🌍 Get the necessary paperwork you need from the retailer you are making the purchase with.
🌍 And file the paperwork at the airport, port or border when you leave.
🌍 There are also several Apps available too that can assist with the process. For example, Global Blue.

NOTE: There isn't a guarantee you will be refunded, but you don't know unless you try.

Our Story

For as long as I can remember, I have always had a passion for travel and for food. However, I did not begin to pursue this passion until I moved to Barrie, Ontario to raise my family. My priorities changed and I left my career in Public Relations to begin a new career in travel, as an independent agent.

I now specialize in creating customized itineraries geared to honeymoons, anniversaries, culinary experiences and health and well-being. I can help you personalize your travel itinerary and refine it to your perfect vacation, whether it’s the boutique hotel of your dreams, renewal at a spa, a memorable feast or a special activity such as:
