Mr Splitnose is one of the biggest, distinctive and aristocratic Leopards (Panthera pardus pardus) in the Maasai Mara. Like the legendary Scarface, the leopard from Kabini Forest in India ousted by Saya, the Jungle shadow and current undisputed ruler, is marked on his face by numerous scars and is a legend among leopards. I am glad to have spotted him on my trip to Kenya as he was dozing on an Acacia tree.
